****Official Fallout New Vegas Thread****

Just got to a town called Novac, enjoying it but not as much as Fallout 3 so far, the wasteland seems a lot less interesting and there are no random buildings with stories in them via computer terminals or audio logs that I have found so far :(a

Was wondering the same thing, hardly come into contact with anything roaming, but its still good, killed part of the khan gang, the hostage bit, was funny NRC coming to help

Right, So ive arrived at this huge solar power station. I've been given the task of restoring power to it.

I've taken out all threats. How do I restore power?

The cable is damaged!

Edit* I think you need a high enough science skill or can activate a near by repair robot with a high enough repair skill to fix the cable.. something ike that :)

You cah repair the generator if your skill is high enough or there is a keycard lying about that will let you use the repair bot.

I think its called 'that lucky old sun' you can buy the magazine which give temporary skill rises from traders, not sure which thugh, think its random.

Where are the voice recording items held?

Ive picked up two in the last 10 mins... I cant find them!

I am enjoying this, but not as much as Fallout 3 as I already stated the wasteland feelss a little to empty, and there are not many side quests. I have just got to the strip and it looks like there is not much of the game to go before its over.... Seems way to short for me after I put 85 hours into Fallout 3.

Same, I thought the Fallout 3 world was much, much better and definitely more immersive in my point of view. I'm not saying this game is rubbish because it's far from, there are a lot of sidequests in this game if you want to spend the time going through Fallout Wiki and finding them, but the main questline is definitely much shorter. In certain aspects it surpasses Fallout 3, but in other areas I think it falters a little.

Well Ive finally made it to the strip..... Cant get in though. Dont have over 2000 caps :(.

Times on making big bucks?

Would play Caravan but that game is a little complicated. Wish it had poker!

Yeah I've met those guys. Done one job for him so far.

Good game so far. The random pauses have calmed down :D

You can get the dog from him as well, he's awesome and if you get the old woman from the junkyard to give you her dogs brain he has increased attack damage. I'm a bit disappointed that none of my followers have managed to die, it treats them like critical NPC's and they just get knocked unconscious as far as I can tell.
