The *Official* Eve Online Thread

I'm yet to lose it. Recently bought a mach + bhaalgorn with still 1.5b in wallet and my tengu safe and sound. Ye of course I could get ganked, but hell, until then I'm making a pretty penny.

I keep my alt cloaked in a falcon for the occasion when someone comes in to play :)

But as soon as u finish training, what are peoples advice to do? is their an OCUK Fleet?

We are trying to kick start some life into the OcUK Corp atm, its got a bit quiet lately - plenty of people active in the OcUK alliance tho.

Yeah rook/falcon on standby is a must now as its so much busier ingame atm - awhile back we could run C3/4 after C3/4 without seeing a soul.

Each time ive played eve and enjoyed it but got to end of tutorials and abit furthern and then have not know what to do .

I was not sure where to go, who to join etc.

I'm so on an off with Eve I only have 3.13m points. I see some of the OcUKers here have ~20m! I doubt I'd last long outside of empire in my Thorax! What corp are you in matt1?

Game is pretty open at that point - you can open up your standings window in the character sheet - find an NPC corp you have good standings with and work your way up their agents to get more missions, join a corp and do whatever they do, go pirating, mining, industry, play the market, etc.

what does the OCUK fleet do?

I was not sure how to find new missions after you have finally done the tutorial ones and exhausted all those contacts.

I think I ruined the game early on for myself. Me and a few friends formed a mining corp which was fun, mining in lowish sec but they all moved on and quit eve :( I like how you can browse from in game though. I'm on a long treak while posting this :)

My in game name is Zpiitka btw (I just bashed the keyboard during character creation; didn't know in 2005 I might be playing it now :))

Your name is fine. I've seen some shocking names.

I'm in a small corp with RL friends (about 10 of us). LEM0N. We kind of developed from running missions for isk and merc contracts to wormhole life with constant PVP and sleeper running. I do get bored of it sometimes and stay in lowsec for a while for PVP.

Do what you enjoy, if you don't know then try different stuff out. There is so much to do.

20m is around a year's worth, I know of atleast one guy in the corp who is on 95m ish :p

But what I'd you want to follow certain paths: fighter/good person? Do you just approach a Corp or be a lone gun?

I don't want to resub and get stuck again at the end of training bored.

3million or 20million a solo thorax outside of empire is gonna end pretty much the same way heh. For solo PVP you need a lot of experience, skill and a ship such as vagabond, cynabal or dramiel.

If you jump in the ocuk channel ingame someone can help you out finding something along the path you want to do.

If you can't find anything else to do you could always try your hand at factional warfare (militia office on the left hand bar).

With the right group of people, anything is possible. I probed down a cynabal (with alt) in a close-safe off a lowsec gate. We jumped 3 cruisers in and arranged the warp-in. Obviously we have combat experience and not everyone is capable of this straight away, but if you find a good group you can have fun no matter what SP you have.

I was in a thorax :D That kill was a lot of fun, especially when his backup arrived.
