Band of Brothers or Pacific?

Just on the back of the RIP Maj Winters thread. I think I prefer BoB as the characters are easier to get into and the action is more "familiar". Pacific was harder for me to get into but the characters did eventually grow on me and some of the action scenes are pretty spectacular. Your opinions please

BoB by a long way. I didn't think the writing on the pacific was really up to standard.

Band of Brothers, although that doesnt mean you cant watch Pacific, which is good, but Band of Brothers wins by a milestone.

BOB brilliant, Pacific turned into a party and romance show while skipping years of action before finishing with all the best bits at the end.

Rarely do you have a series which just does not tail off somewhere along the line. Almost faultless in all aspects of the production and one of those rare gems that can be called a masterpiece.

Got bored of the love scenes in the pacific so gave up with it after about episode 6

BoB on the other hand really does show war like it was. You actually feel for the characters being played. The first time I saw it & seen Buck drop his helmet it near enough brought me to tears.

I do agree! I dont think there is a single boring or drawn out episode in BoB. The "back home, training newbies and love scenes" are a bit irritating but do give a flavour of the atmosphere in the US outside the battles

Bob is quite simply one of the best TV shows ever made. While I found Pacific a bit meh.
