Smart/Formal Shoes, where from for good uns!

ha, classic reebok pumps!
now all we need is a pic of those fishing line dial trainers that someone done!

I got some decent looking shoes from Burtons. I know they aren't exactly haute couture but they fit the bill and are perfect for work as they are fairly smart and don't look out of place when worn with a suit

I got some shoes from Burtons as part of a "whole suit for £99" deal. Shoes look and feel fine but don't last very long, I've only had these for 5 months or so and the leather is discolouring at the heel.

I did have some Ecco shoes which weren't the most stylish ever, but were comfortable and lasted about 2 years, cost about £50 I think.

You bought a whole suit and shoes for £99 and you expected them to last longer than 5 months? o_O

I would advise paying a little bit more and get some quality goodyear welted shoes. Shoes constructed in that way can be pretty much rebuilt when they would normally need replacing. See it as a long term investment.

Loake offer some pairs that are fairly close to your budget, although they will not be made in England. If you can spend a bit more you could go for some Grenson's or Church's.

got to be Jones the Bootmaker in my opinion - and they have a sale on at the minute! best shoes I've ever bought for work are from there, built to last!
