Cant you see if you cant raise the roof a bit, or are planning constraints holding you back?

Are the garages separated orr will it be one big garage?

I would love a garage, sucks not having one when I really want to play with my car and do some learning.. Should buy my late grans house really. Can't do a 140k mortgage on my own though :(

I cant see the problem with just opening the doors with side hinges to be honest, is there actually something wrong with ones like in the picture?

You have to open one, then the other, get in your car, drive out, get out, close one, then close the other, lock with a key, get back in your car. Then the reverse when you come home.

That would drive me mad. I'd be lost without an electric garage door :)

Indeed, a good friend of mine keeps her MG in a garage in London with big double wooden doors and it's a massive faf.

I see your point, but the layout of the garages means the ones in use will be open ports where as the doored units will be opened less regularly so it isn't an issue.

Can me & my deputy dog move in to the Attic space, I'll even drive the cars you're not using for you for Free. :D

Inside its just one big space.

I could raise the roof but im not really short of space here, as long as i get some sort of little office above :)

As for opening the doors i can live with that i think.

Needs a blokes room above, all the best ones have that with arcade machines and a pool table, bar and of course pole.

Just not enough room without going for like dormer (squared out, i dont know the exact term) roof, and with the best will in the world where do you draw the line? It only cost 100k to build me sons conversion above the old garages here, 50k on a garage is about my whack i think.Me wifes already gone balistic, she's gonna want something now as well to compensate :)

I think a nice office space above would be perfect, You still buying and selling cars?

I want to hear the compo she gets for you doing 50 large on a garage. :D
You've done well mate it looks top to me.

Nope, that and buying gold through the post are pretty much my only 2 failed business ventures.
