Too cut a long story short, I've got £1000 coming my way soon and would pretty much like to blow it on a gadget or gadgets.

I have no interest in saving the money, investing it, going a holiday or keeping it in a safe place till I find what I really want. It would just burn a hole in my pocket.

I don't really need to upgrade my pc at the moment, happy with it. I don't want a laptop.

I am thinking of going for an Ipad 2nd gen when it hits the shops, or maybe waiting to see what other tablets come out... really like the idea of these.

However I am open to suggestions of what I can get for my cash, anything that plugs in and has a display screen I will be happy with. (not a tv)

So, if it was you... what would you buy with £1k

Cheers in advance for opinions.

Some bits n bobs for the car ?
Ipad ?
New audio ( A/V receiver + good speakers)
New tv ?
Lots of small things, like portable speakers, wireless controls for your pc from bed, etc ?
(waterproof) Bathroom Computer for entertainment when you're on the throne ?
Extra data server ?
A new comfy bed or couch ?
Elec guitar + amp.
Cheapo 300 quid car purely to rag to destruction ?
Bike license ?
New phone ?
New clothes ?
Couple of really nice nights out ?
Hookers ?
Something like that helicopter on top gear you can control with your iphone ?
RC Drifters ?
Buy all consoles if you're into games ?

Why the desperate need to spend it? Save it for a rainy day when you might need it, or at least wait until you know of something you want to buy.

Read OP perhaps ??

Question to the side, but why do some people have an inability to save things for a rainy day?

I can sometimes understand if it's to do with tax etc., but by and large doing the above would be the most prudent course of action. You'll get to six months later when a laptop needs repairing etc., and a nice wad of cash would be helpful.
