So,
Following on from my "S type no more" thread and my "next car advice" thread, i ignored everyone and went for an X type. Found a really nice 2003 2.5 sport auto with just over 70k on the clock with a full main dealer service history. They wanted 5k which was way over but got them down to 4.4k which is about right.
I'm not doing many miles now a days as i use my motorbike to commute so opted for petrol over D. What was looking to sting me was the ins having just wrote off my last car. Confused best deal was £825, reduced from £950 when i added my old man to the policy. (I'm 26 well, 27 in few days with 7 years protected no claims with 1 acciedent and 1 sp30). Was checking out some of the other companies not on confused then bingo - SwiftCover £550
This is the worst Jag i have owned (having had the XJ8, XKR and S type 2.7 D SE) but its lot of car for 4.4k and im happy
