Man nicked for throwing snowball at police

Chap in question, teardrop tattoo and all.

Maybe the police didn't want to have snowballs thrown at them. I don't understand the mindset that because it has snowed it's ok to throw frozen water at anyone and everyone.

This. Fair enough if you're in a snowball fight where people all want to be there, but not at police who are trying to do their job. Pretty sure I wouldn't want snowballs thrown at me while I'm working!

This is pretty local to me so it came up when it actually happened months ago, and even then the Telegraph reported without many of the facts that made it seem (like this does) at face value a pointless waste. Unless you actually delve deeper it's only ever going to be cue shock/outrage/waste of tax.

His 'official' original story was that he threw a snowball at a shop (he was banned from because he was caught stealing) and it accidently hit the PSCO.

At first he'd said his five year old son had thrown it, and then threatened the other officer with a "I'll be seeing you" remark.

Lightweight crime sure, but 'innocent'? Not by a long throw.

It was PCSO ? thats even more of a waste of tax payers money, they aren't even real cops !!!!

Surprise surprise beneath the surface of a Britain Gone PC Mad story is the truth... the guys a nob and the police were right to do it.

But it's no wonder the country believes things are bad, becasue every day we're battered with these stories without relent.

An anonymous grown man (by himself) fired a snowball at my girlfriend when she was walking home alone from work during the recent bad weather there.

Some people are just odd and need a good kicking.

Yes. That's proportionate.
