Ah, my apologies, I hadn't noticed the earlier posts :p

Well, its not the game itself, its the fact he doesn't want to let his friends or his guild down.

That said, if they were a great guild with great friends and so on he wouldn't get bored quite so easily, the content in WoW does get repetitive very fast and its only the people you play with who can keep it interesting.

He isn't enjoying it but wants to get high in the world, it would be a bit of a hollow victory surely?
 
I've been battling the addiction with little success. Been playing 60 hours a week in WotLK (world 34th guild on LK25hc), but now managed to tone it down to just 3 raids a night while still playing hardcore. But now I have to raid lead too :(

Why not manage your time so you can raid and enjoy your life?

It doesn't have to be either/or... it can be both ;)

Na, Raiding is 5times a week at night. I'd rather go out wiht my mates. And Its either 1 or nothing. As summer comes i'd rather be out in the evenings wiht mates.
 
I have now decided to level my dwarf warrior I started several years ago. I just play PVE and believe that Arms is the way to go for levelling. I'm now lvl 19 and want to know if Arms is the way to go and what talent build I should be looking at.
 
Bored already, looking for some inspiration!

I currently have the following, all on the same server, tiny guilds tho and no action

85 Goblin DK
82 Undead ShadowPriest
70 Dwarf Hunter
52 Worgen Hunter
3 Goblin Mage

Bored with levelling up now, same old stuff, different buttons to bash!
 
My monthly sub renews next friday, i think i'll be cancelling.

Playing Cata is the first time the game has felt like chore, so it feels the right time to quit. Even though I can feel the addiction is telling me not to. Its like stopping smoking again :o

Maybe after a break ill come back, but then you feel like you'll be far behind lol. I guess thats why its so hard to leave.

You're meant to play the game to enjoy it... If you're not enjoying it then quit!!!

Cata has breathed new life into wow and done a lot of good after the slight mess that was wotlk! It will always feel like a chore if you're not enjoying it...

Completely agree.

It helps that the re-roll guild has been a huge success but in general I think Cata has been fantastic. Redeveloping the old world was a great idea and has Bern done masterfully. The levelling expereince has been refined the stories improved so that things make more sense.

Also, for a non-superstar leet raider, the heroics and dungeons have been made more challenging. Wrath heroics were a chore to be endured. Cata dungeons are fun and engaging and can be a good challenge. Not sure what raiding is like but for a non hardcore guild I can imagine it will last a while.

This is just my opinion but I say well done to blizz for stepping up to the plate after the shocker that was wrath.
 
Have HC dungeons been nerfed or something, did random sfk last night and it was super easy, first boss died super quick, like if it only had 1/3 of its original HP and I remember this boss being quite hard few weeks ago.

I am only doing HC nowadays for 70 VP :)
