OK. I never slept too well last night, for what reason I have no idea. I'm not stressed and generally pretty happy. Anyway's thats another thread.

So I come downstair after trying to sleep, finally give up. I'm zombified however. Make's myself a coffee, sits down at the pc and sits the coffee over at the end of the desk so I wouldn't spill it. I'm the most careful non clumsiest person ever, last time I spilled a drink was when I was 3.

Anyway. Lean over to turn on the amp for pc sound and boom, I topple the coffee all over the computer case. Luckily for me, there are dust filters all around it, so the coffee sort of balanced on it but soaked through the metal layer at the top. I started to use kitchen roll but my better half decided to buy the cheap stuff, so it was all breaking up and little bits of kitchen roll going in my computer case :(

I run for the hoover and I couldn't believe how well it worked. It sucked all the coffee up from the dust filters no problem, it was like rain on glass the way it was hovering above my beloved components.

That's the last time I sit coffee anywhere near my desk.

My mate spilled coffee in his PC a couple of years ago. He didn't clean it off - his graphics card and sound card are completely baked in coffee.

Best part is it still works!

You really should not use a hoover to clean it out, my dad killed his PC like this... I'm sure he was not the first and will not be the last...

It wasn't on the inside, it was on the top. I mentioned the coffee never actually got inside the case, it just floated on the dust filters. Did you even read it lol.

Geezzz you are lucky my girl friend managed to spill tea on mine last weeken. It went through the dust filters on top and straight on to my graphics card killing the card so you are lucky.

Waits for new thread with the following title

"My Hoover gone bang,Please spec me a new hoover"

:D :D :D

I would happily have taken out my keyboard, which I hate anyway over my system. Saitek Cyborg... worst keyboard in the world.

I have that keyboard, and I agree, it's nice for the looks, customize almost any groups of keys colour and brightness etc.
But the programming software for the keys is just awful, I payed £50 for mine and well, it's a keyboard which looks awesome, what more do you want?

Don't need a super-keyboard for gaming imo, just good latency.
Also yea I agree your rather lucky, I've knocked a cup of hot chocolate off my shelves all over a huge stack of PC components, bad times, spent days gently cleaning them with warm water and cotton buds ¬¬

Well, within 3 months my "9" key and "." key stopped working completely. I had to take it apart and clean the circuit sheet thingy... forget the proper name for it. (blonde moment)

Not to mention the keys will just simply not program, the software is buggy and the drivers wont play ball with the lighting on the volume. It's crappy to type with aswell, apart from that it looks alright and the customisable lights are cool... probably the only thing stopping me smashing it off the wall and buying a logitech.

oh this reminds me of the time I spilled a full cup of coffee into the wide open side of my mates computer. Coffee completely covering the motherboard and all the components. There was even coffee under the CPU, in the socket!
The best thing about it, my mate glanced over for a second, all casual, and then went back to playing his game! The computer continued to work fine lmao!
I don't think he was too bothered because it was a really crappy computer - like a Pentium II or something...
