I'm posting from my DHD at the moment so can't give a full reply but do NOT use a task killer with Android 2.2+. It does more harm than good.
Does that occur even when you're photographing something with the camera parallel to the object?Snip

In the image you posted, it could be down to the depth of field, as it looks something like this
If you find that it still happens when you're taking a photo of something flat, with the camera parallel to it, then it's possible that the lens is misaligned. I hadn't noticed it on my phone, but I can't test it on mine as it is with HTC at the moment.
I'm looking into buying an unlocked/sim-free HTC Desire, the normal one, not HD.
How is it for music playback though? How well does it do as an MP3 player? As I'm looking for a phone with good music playback but with a good interface and just good overall functionality, as I hopefully want to use it as a replacement for my actual MP3 player. Is the sound loud? Especially with earphones plugged in? And is the sound playback quality any good, both unplugged and with earphones?

Then why not post in the Desire thread?
Did you read his post?
can any one help with setting up my hotmail account on this, can not for the life of me make it work.
What are the opinions of the owners? Would {a manufacturer} release a {new product} in the future?
Edit: Also what is the stock storage options of the HTC Desire HD?
Hey Guys,
I was thinking of getting this phone in a month or so to replace my nokia 5800. My only major concern is battery life and the fact that it doesn't have AMOLED display like the Nexus S and Retina display like the iphone. I quite like a rich vibrant display, especially since I expect to keep a new phone for at least 2 years!

Thanks for the reply. I think considering I would keep a future for a while, I will wait and see if the google Nexus S gets any cheaper!
Deciding on a phone is so hard!
