Anyone else find sigs really annoying?

I like sigs but how do you turn off Avatars? I hate guinea wop gangsters and particularly despise James Gandolfini so if it's possible to disable his fat mug appearing fifty times every page then I'd quite like to know how.

user cp >edit options >uncheck show avatars.

no, it helps you find your posts and says something about you or what you like, signing your post on the other hand annoys the hell out of me.

Then why have you chosen to use Mr Gandolfini's particularly punchable face for your avatar?

This forum is great, small sigs are all you need.
On forums where people have 500px high sig images with 4 lines of red bold text I simply disable sigs.

I don't get why people manually put a signature before their signature though.

I think it was a really stupid idea of you to make a post about hating signatures when over half of the forum members have a signature image or text.
Second, as previously stated you can quite easily turn them off in the forum settings... Then theres no problem at all. Stupid Thread.

No, what I do find annoying is people signing off their posts, even though their username is quite clearly stated to the left of said post.

I mean, why? Maybe if it was your actual name I guess I could deal with that, but not your username.

I think they add a bit of personality....They are fine by me. Only time I dont like them is when they are sized with stupidity and take up half of the page!

I like sigs as long is there is a strict rule-set in place as there is on these forums, they help separate the posts and make it easier to track who is saying what, and also for those that have their PC spec in their sig it is handy for other members if you post in the 'hardware' forums more often.
