As per my other thread today, I've just bought a Crucial RealSSD C300 64GB drive and wondered if it would be worth pairing it with a SATAIII controller card to get the best out of the drive?
I would personally you will get about a 25% increase in read speeds. But your write speeds won't improve.
However if you are planning to upgrade to one of the new SB processors or Bulldozers in the next few months, I would wait as most of those boards will support sata 3
i wouldnt bother with one i brought one for use on my computer and its slower then the onboard sata 2 ports by far, on the benchmark im only getting 250 max as on my mobo im getting near 400 with my intel 25m 80gb ssd
Does that work with any motherboard? The compatibly list on their website lists so many, but, for example they include M4A79T Deluxe but not M4A79 Deluxe.
