I've been looking at the price for a while and have noticed it's jumped quite considerably from the £170-180 mark to £219.98 whilst still being priced at £170~ elsewhere. What's the reason?

(I hope this thread doesn't break the rules. If so, just delete it. I'm just genuinely interested in the reason.)

I have noticed that they have bumped their prices up on here too. The Sandy Bridge processors have shot up and the Antec new modular psu 650 has shot up by £10 in the last few weeks.

Maybe somebody from OCUK can enlighten us?

I have also noticed the prices of the overclocked i5 Sandy Bridge bundles going up from £439 to £459 in the last week or so.

I don't want to cause trouble but another vendor are doing the same bundles for £389. Seems to be greed to me but there you go.

If i get banned so be it ;)

Wow, £220? I got mine for £175 or something (elsewhere). It dropped to around £168 with a special offer shortly afterwards and is now at that same price without any offers. A more than 30% price difference in this case. :s

Thats a big increase,

Why wouldent people just buy the bigfoot version (unless it's for a laptop obv). Looking at the performance figures I can see no differance.

If the 3.5" is cheaper, there's a slight dilemma - if you buy a 3.5" one to save a few quid, you can't use it in a laptop in the future. A 2.5" one is more flexible in that regard and luckily for me, it was cheaper than the 3.5" at the time I bought it.

I feel sorry for anyone that buys one of these for £220. :(

Been following prices like a hawk recently as I'm after a boot ssd. Prices seem to be creeping up across the retailers, some more so than others, however. I'm sure its supply and demand but its current price is plain ridiculous!

Very good price on another site I found for one, nearly a full £50 cheaper.

Planning to buy a SSD next month so watching prices and tech websites like a hawk.
