Petrol prices I have to sell my RAV4 so frustrated

Be gentle with me, this is my first post & thread! :D
I am so annoyed with the petrol price hike.
If they hadn't yanked it up so much I may have been able to forgive the rip off tax being double what people pay for a 1400cc.
Anyway, another reason I started this thread is after I have bunged a new MOT on & sell my car, what should I be looking at...cheap to run but 4 doors & not embarrassing? :)

My prediction is - you are going to save £10 a week in petrol and £100 a year in tax, in which case don't bother.

10 pounds a week saving in petrol, 120 pounds a year tax, my insurance went up by over 200 a year, (I used to pay 20 a month direct debit for a 206, it's now 53) not to mention the last tyre I bought was 50 odd quid & that was shopping around.
Do you really think it's not worth it? I dont know, maybe I am over reacting lol.
I just wanted to spend less this year I guess.
From looking on ebay alone I notice that RAV4's the same year as mine are worth the same as a smaller regular car a couple of years newer? Before the running cost savings?

I must live in a weird area because a ford fiesta tyre costs about 30 quid here? :confused:
I'm talking about a RAV4 not a Subaru? :D (unfortunately)

I paid £100 for a pair of fronts on my Fiesta. Cars cost money to run, deal with it or buy a bus pass.
 
yup as previously stated suck up the cost for tyres it aint that bad,

my taxi costs me £120 a corner :)
 
lol i pay about 400 for 4 tyres and 83 quid to fill the tank, think it went up 5 quid since i last filled in December (i did get 676 miles to the tank though :p) Gonna sell it now :eek:

Must have a good job. I work in Sainsburys, online shopper, one of those annoying buggas that run into your heels with their big trolley lol
If you get your shopping delivered you can complain though, right? :D

I dont know what the RAV4 costs to fill, when I last did it, it was about 50 I think. 5 quid is a lot in a month. People say it's gone up a few pence per litre, but it's not quite that good. I cant be arrised to search for a link but I was only reading today in the paper that it's the dearest it's been since god knows when.
Why are you selling it then, because of the running costs?
