I'm slightly annoyed, did a handful of races and meant to check the used dealership but forgot. Went off and did a handful more then checked the dealership and there was a Mitsubishi Starion Rally Car at the very bottom of the list, it was 1.8 million and I had 1.5 or so, all my cars in my garage are either keepers or racing cars that can only be discarded for 0 credits, so I couldn't buy the damn thing and now it's gone. :( :(
 
Spending today letting mr b-spec do he endurance races, really need to get him up to level 28 so that I can get my GT40!

I bought the M3 GTR from the 2nd hand dealership (now in the online dealership), upgraded it is even good enough for the Extreme German Touring Car championship in B-Spec.


I bought the Alfa 155 2.5 V6 '93 yesterday and it is a great car, 11500rpm screaming NA, 4WD so great grip and it made the 5th seasonal event great fun.

That is a spreadsheet you can (supposedly) use to calculate what car is in the dealership at what in game day, kinda difficult but if you really want a car you can check to see when it will be on sale.

To cycle days fast go to licenses and each time you press next license and loads the next test it advances game time by one day.
 
There are some alright prize cars in B-spec, I've got bob to level 20, quite straight forward. But now I'm going to have to repeat races or championships to get him up a level to unlock the next event.

I didn't have to grind A-spec since the seasonals easily take me up levels quickly enough for the pace I play. I'm bored of the game again!

Best place (I think) is the Madrid Mini race in the Polypony Digital Expert races, with a FGT it takes 9:30 for 5807xp so about 600xp/min.

I had to do that race a few times to get to level 21 and a few times to get to level 22 which is where I am now.

Starting to get a bit bored of grinding for XP . Although, extreme european race in a Merc Mclaren SLR, monza 5 laps easy win pays out nearly 100K.

Easy money and 5 laps around monza takes no time at all.

Still got the historic races to do, not really all that interested in the nascar races, now i'm at level 22 its starting to get a tad boring.

Might move over to the seasonal races, noticed last night time trials have leaderboards. I wondered where the leaderboards were...!! lol

Why is there no leaderboards for any other time trials though? Forza 3 had a fantastic leaderboard system.
 
The VW Schwimwagen (however you spell it) race is surprisingly fun but took me a few attempts with Sports Soft tyres, Stage 3 turbo and FC transmission. Got it done in the end though!

Yeah, I had a few upgrades, 1st lap was 2:14, 2nd lap was 2:10 and the other laps were ~2:07 as I drove much smoother, in the end I won by 10 seconds or so.
 
Anyone know a get around to when you cant receive gifts?

Had a car gifted to me before Christmas but got so bored with this game only started playing it again the last couple of evenings and on both occasions I couldn't receive the gift :confused:

Is your game updated to the latest version v1.05?

Did you get the message you got a gift but can't download the car or no message at all?

Yep all up to date

Dont get any message whatsoever, it's almost like it ignores the request. Doesn't matter if I click on the gift itself or the Receive All button neither does anything :confused:

I've read a few threads on other forums but seems the only answer ever given is to turn the system off and then on again (which I've obviously done having tried to receive it over 2 different nights)

Yeah, I did all the <3.5k power upgrades and soft sports tyres and was leading before the end of the 2nd lap or so.

I do think that stopping the requirements is a bad thing, now I have no idea how much improvements I need to do to be competitive, I liked it the way it was, all they needed to do was make the fastest CPU car a little slower in some races.
