Just finished watching it, thought it was great personally - did anyone else catch it? I was wary at first knowing what David Mitchell has said in the past but this sort of satire is just what the country needs at the minute.

I watched until around half way through, it was OK. Some parts were a bit dull and unfunny but other parts were quite funny.

I like the format and I especially like how the first advert didn't kick in until the 25th minute.

Will try to catch it all next week and make more of a judgement.

I had been looking forward to it and really wanted to like it but was disappointed tbh. I really like the idea but I had a couple of problems with it:

David Mitchell - very clever, very articulate and very funny. Trouble is, it felt like he needed to prove that last night and kept interrupting the guests for a gag. Hopefully he'll relax a bit and learn to provide only enough banter to let them hang themselves.

Charlie Brooker - Predictable but awesome.

Jimmy Carr - The only way this show is going to get traction is to get-high profile current affairs guests. I'm not sure many senior politicians will be prepared to share a stage with a guy who makes cheap "the pope is a nazi" gags. It's good to push the boundaries but they need to be careful.

Lauren Lavern - Pretty but pointless.

I turned it off after half an hour and went to bed, hopefully it will settle into itself and be as good as the 11 O'Clock Show was all those years ago.

I thought it was really good. I also thought that the interview between Mitchell and Willetts was one of the best discussions around the tutition fees we have seen so far. Mitchell certianly asked him some leading questions, and showed some of his own positional bias, but he let the minister respond without interrupting and actually seemed willing to acknowledge the differences in viewpoint rather than trying to sway the minister, trap him or trick him into acknowledging something he shouldn't have done.

Looking forward to the rest of the series.

It wasn't funny, but it was very obvious Mitchell was extremely passionate on the subject and i respect him for it.

I liked it allot. As a pilot there were obviously some kinks to be ironed out but all in all it was a good laugh.

Indeed, namely the 'Listen to Mitchell' section, which I couldn't actually judge since the camera man kept swaying from side to side, and this coupled with the sickening background made me so dizzy that I had to look away :p

I'm yet to be convinced. I didn't watch it all but had it on whilst I was sorting something out.

Charlie Brooker doesn't seem to have any discernible talent. Though I like Jimmy Carr I don't think he really suits the show. Lauren Lavern is plain annoying. David Mitchell did well.

I thought David Mitchell was great, but was pretty disappointed in Jimmy Carr and Charlie Brooker. Lauren Laverne was just... there. I think it'll take a couple of weeks for them to settle into the format and it should hopefully get better. I'm still not sure it'll beat the Friday/Saturday Night Armistice.

Was ok last night but seemed its obvious they need to tweak parts of the show to make it a bit more fluant and felt the interview bits were rushed but i guess with only an hour minus the adverts im not sure what else they could do,will keep watching it for sure.

Thought it was pretty decent. How funny it was depended very much on the guests for me, some were quite boring and seemed to want it to be a full on serious discussion or just tried to hard to be funny. Presenters were good when they werent talking over the guests - was a bit naff talking over each other as one wanted to make a serious point and the other wanted to make a cheap joke. It has potential and was a pretty decent start with not too many cockups. I do have to admit to turning over a couple times onto Keith Lemons world tour or something which was good.

I really liked it but lauren laverne was dead wood.

they need to swap her for the original from the 11 o clock show: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daisy_Donovan

DD was funny as well as good looking

edit: i will say that I'm a little bored with the America bashing (the bit LL and the american guy did in a mock Us style show) it's a little too lazy. I'm not saying there isnt a place for it but not so much.

I remember her. She was brilliant. Funny and hot, like you say. What happened to her?!
