Newcastle - Things to do?

I'm too knackered to go out again :o I'm quite comfortable sitting here in my PJs, gonna get an early night tonight ready for my 5 hour drive back home tomorrow :(

The building you described clearly does not look like a stuffed sock!!!

Yes it does! :p

You might be comfortable but you are so, so mad for missing out a Saturday night in Newcastle!!!!!

Just a note fellas,if anyone is going to be using the metro line on sundays there will be a bit of a close down in certain bits for upgrading works on the loop, which i am working on for the next few weeks, check before you travel..

Newcastle people seem to be quite nice and friendly :p Oh and i've noticed a LOT of young people around.. Where are all the old people???
friendliness is one thing i can give to the geordies , always had funny times up theres even as a 'smoggy'

young people because theres 2 huge universities and a few big colleges , old people can be found dawdling around northumberland street and causing traffic jams inside M&S throughout the week , middle aged people and young geordies will no doubt of been at the match :p

I love how true this quote actually is ha :D

Gave me a laugh haha

I actually popped into M&S for a brief 5mins yesterday as my friend needed to buy a few things, and I was quite surprised at how many OAP's there were!! They had seats/benches dotted around checkout area as well, so they were just chilling inside M&S

Today I think i'll be going to see the angel of the north :)

Angel of the north is a waste of space i think, just looks like a planes crashed vertically into the ground and been stuck ever since.

I have drove past it a many of times but never actually walked upto it.

I think it looks good, but never visited it, not amazingly worthy of a visit tbh.

OP could have spent the morning having a hangover after an excellent night out but has gone to see Angel of the north instead. :(

I'm home FINALLY, after 5 hours of driving and an aching bum from sitting too long!! I would've struggle to get home if I had gone out last night. Having a hangover followed by a long drive is not a good idea and I was so close to falling asleep at the wheel today :o

I spent about 5 minutes at the Angel of the North, not that great really :p It was on my way home anyway so me and my friend went there, then I dropped her off at a random bus stop in Gateshead so she could make her own way back to South Gosforth :D
