Some help required if possible (seasonal events)

1) Am I right in thinking there is no European touring car available to buy? Ive been regularly checking the used cars but havent seen any coming up - or is there an event I need to win to enter this race (with the right car)?

2) Ive completed the Top Gear Test Track (Hard) race with a win in that VW jeep, however I cant get anywhere in that similar seasonal event with the similar VW APC (or whatever its called) - Ive upgraded it as much as possible but Im always stuck down in 10th being dramatically left behind, very early in the race , any ideas?

Ive now amassed about 3m credits with no more seasonal events to complete apart from the two above - none of which had a massive pay day in the multi-million region (are these prizes mainly in the B Spec ?)

Ive only got Extreme races (ASpec) to go now and a few Special events before Ive completed as much as Im interested in (not bothered with B Spec "management" section at all, not why I buy GT series) :)

Any advice would be appreciated

edit - edging towards lvl 27 also

There are quite a few in the online dealership I think, cheapest being the Astra at about a million credits.

- Get the fully customisable gearbox and adjust the max speed to 100+mph
- Buy the biggest turbo
- Drive accurately, don't overdrive and brake too hard.
- Maybe turn on Skid Recovery.

I got 1st on last lap with a few corners to go and that was with the first two laps driving crappy and too hard.

Just under the seasonal events, on the main game page.

Really appreciated both of you - thanks

Yup the CPU seem to drive really slowly in both the German touring races. On my first playthrough I borrowed a TT from a friend and it was so easy I assumed that the car was further upgraded but as it turns out it was stock. And I'm not even a very good driver.

Anybody got a Toyota 7 that i can borrow for the historic race car cup?

I can loan any car for the special events, don't have much else of use.

I nice way of getting all the profit and not having to dish out on that stupid VW jeep thing

No probs, that's what we're all here for:).

What Touring car did you go or in the end? If I didn't already have my 190E I'd quite fancy the ALFA.

Audi TT - R for me, and thought I would get slaughtered with being over a minute behind at the beginning of the race, but was moderately easy in the end.....even though I only took the lead on the last lap (prefer those kinds of races, rather than getting bored after a lap because you are already so far in the lead)

Dutch - thanks for the advice about the gear ratios , looks like I already had the turbo lvl 3 but didnt have customisable gear box which was 1/2 the problem. after reading your good advice , I thought I better allow myself a bit more leway so upped the top speed to 140ish.....started a race and soon realised why you recommended 100 (low gears were Really sluggish at 140ish setting). Reset to your recommendations and won the gold easily. :D (edit - have to admit I forgot about skid recovery)

Just got really ticked off with the AMG Driving Academy (I noticed it on Advanced but could be true of other levels) .....they give you around 50k prize for silver for each seperate section of the Nurburgring (which is fair enough) but it also only gives you 50k for the whole lap (ie four times longer/more difficult) grrrrrrr - anyway got silver or better upto and including Advanced on all sections and full laps - going to attack Extreme tomorrow

Yessssss, finally got the last gold on the Nascar Driving School, turns out all I had to do was turn ABS off :-/

Does anyone have a decent Yaris/Vitz that I can borrow to try with my retardo B-Spec driver? I thought I had a decent Vitz Euro something tuned upto about 160bhp but he's just hopeless, maybe he needs a bit more grunt if overtaking is seemingly so hard for him lol.

I still have my Yaris /Vitz I upgraded to win the Yaris cup, I have no idea how you gift a car, I guess you add me on PSN and I send it over from in the game?

My PSN is astondbr9 if you want to use it?
