The Techpowerup review of the GTX560 seem to show that load power consumption is around the level of a GTX465 for the stock clocked version and around the same as GTX470 for the slightly overclocked version.

Their overclockes also seemed to be well under 950MHZ too.

Certainly would be a good jump in performance.

Bittech hit 955 core with no extra voltage at this speed it's on par or slightly faster than a 570.

This means that the HD6870 1GB will probably stay at around £170.

I was hoping the HD6870 would go down to around £150 due to the launch of the GTX560!

Hmm, it might respond because of lower tier pressure instead of upper tier? The 460 prices have dropped loads and performance/price ratio looks to still point at the 6850. If ATI were to drop the prices for both 68xx's then the 460 may not be as tempting and they will rule in that £130-180 gap?

They test games by seeing how high that setting can be turned up on each card - so rather different from the raw numbers in other sites graphs.

I must admit I'm a fan of the methodology used in the [H] tests.

I wouldn't base any performance on techpowerup relative charts, the guy benches Dirt2 in DX9 where the AMD card perform much better than Nvidia.

OCP are AMD fanboys, they reckon the 6970 blows the 570 out of the water, nuff said.

Looking at it this way, the HD 6970 blows the GTX 570 out of the water for a few bucks.

The Anandtech review puts the HD6950 1GB and GTX560 1GB at level pegging. In Metro2033 the HD6950 1GB is ahead which is surprising as this is a Nvidia sponsored game.

BTW,Bit-tech are known as Nvidia/Intel fans by many so it even things out a bit.
