Will I ever pass my driving test?

I don't know?

Although @OP sounds to me like you need to calm down and not be so cocky...speeding on your test is just plain stupid and as for you saying you would have probably got away with pulling out on somebody, i think you need to take a step back and remember that the examiner is the expert, they deemed that you were dangerous whilst performing your maneuver.

Basically my advice is - cool down a little bit, and make sure that you are definately ready for your test.

With regards to the speeding on my first test, it genuinely was a mistake. I thought it was a 40 but it was a 30, I wasn't deliberately speeding I just made the mistake. I know the examiners the expert and at the end of the day his words final, but I thought I'd have been okay. But like you and I have said, his words final :)

Don't forget to book your test for a Monday morning, I've read here that there are quotas so if they've passed too many during the day or the week they will fail you no matter how good you are. Also they play "test snooker" which means if you are driving a black learner car you are more likely to pass as the instructor will get 7 points over his mates, if you drive a red learner car then you are screwed as it's only worth 1 point.

My instructors car is gold :L How does that fit into the mix?

Fiar enough if it was a genuine mistake, sounds like you've probably learned from it though which is good.

On your next test you just need to make sure you don't take any risks, I was always taught that if you could walk across the road at a normal walking speed then you have room to pull out and if you are unsure at all don't make the maneuver, tbh it's better to get a minor for hesitation than it is to fail for dangerous driving.

It was a genuine mistake, and I certainly won't be repeating it in a hurry :L And I most certainly will take that advice on the walking speed, sounds good. It was like for the speeding one this time, I thought if in doubt stick to 30 and if its in a built up area well thats kinda obv, its a 30 :(

Mine was red, and I took it on a Friday and passed first time...

**** YEAH.

I started learning when I was 17 and didn't pass until I was 29!

However I did have a few lessons then give up for a while and repeat that didn't do me any favours. Never thought I would ever pass but I did in the end :D

mate, its not down to judgement, speeding is a major, and that means instaFail. if you don't know that, then you need to do a bit more theory and I mean that sincerely; you should not be sitting there saying 'i was speeding but i thought I'd have been all right', 'i pulled out on someone but i thought I'd have been all right'/

I failed my second test too - 30 in a 20. I didn't sit there thinking i should have got away with it. Stupid mistake but there you go, i should have paid more attention to the piddly little 20 sign when i was trying to negotiate that roundabout.

You'll pass when you appreciate why your getting failed.

From your OP, assuming you would have got away with pulling out on somebody is a good indicator to your style - or lack of it.

And speeding? on your test?

You will pass, once your fit to drive, which, from your comments, I don't think you are , yet.
