Gaming Mice

Can't go too far wrong with a Razer, I have a Deathadder and it's fantastic. I once tried to replace it with a Roccat Kone thinking it might be better, I was sorely disappointed. Never looked back since!

Having used quite a few different mice now, I can say my firm favourite is the Razer Deathadder. I'm using mine (older version) with a BoogieBug aimpad. I highly recommend this deal.

The MX518 club will be through in a minute, remember though before you buy one because it's great value for money, it doesn't mean it's the best performing mouse out there. As with all things PC, you get diminishing returns for increased investment. Not saying that some things aren't better value than others.

I myself have recently gotten the Logitech MX518 as well at a great price of £16.99 :D I have to say, it is a very good mouse for the price.

Yes there are definitely better mouse out there, but for anyone who's not prepared to spend over £30 on a mouse, the Logitech MX518 is definitely a great choice.

I've got the Logitech wave pro kit thing with the mouse and keyboard. Just started playing Bops and find the MX1100 mouse shyt!!

Looking at the Razor but heard it uncomfortable, plus expensive

I'll give my vote for Razer :p got a deathadder here and it works great and looks the business. Not surprised everyones mentioning logitech though when it comes to mice. Brilliant customer support.

anything by Logitech, as their customer support is awesome as I have just found out.

my old G5 mouse needs new glide feet, sent them an email last night, and they want my address to send a set to me free of charge.

+1, logitech G5 user here. Solid and reliable (and not too many buttons).

+1 for the G5 ...shame you can't buy them any more... the G500 is the replacement and is apparently more comfortable with better control - I'll leave it up to someone who has one to comment further on that :)

The G500 does indeed feel a little more comfortable than the G5 but maybe that's just me. I would be more than happy to use the G500 as a permanent replacement should the G5 ever die. I have quite big hands and so find these sort of mice easier to use :)

I've got a G500, and a MX518.

MX518 is heavier. Thumb buttons are better, the thumb buttons on the G500 feel cheaper but do the job. Mice are very similar. The flywheel on the G500 is a gimmick, but works fine with the click. The texture on the G500 on the thumb rest is really rough for some reason (like some very fine sandpaper), and takes some time getting used to.

Overall, I prefer the G500 over the two, for the weight mostly, but the MX518 is a good mouse as well. It feels sturdier and less nonsense.

Saitek Cyborg, It's absolute Horse ****
If I could afford a Deathadder, or another mouse of Razer's similar in quality, but with a red glow i'd buy it... (Needs to stay in tune with my red system yo!)
