Dead Space 2 .

I never understood the fascination with achievements or trophies. until I played Red Dead. To be honest, I can only see myself going for trophies in open world games. Would rather enjoy the game... or try and get them on the second play through.

3 hours to go for the steam version. On chapter 8 on my second play through of DS1. Wonder if I can finish it in time. Doubt it.

Completed on Wii, I don't have a Move and from what I've read it's not that good on a standard DS3.

Maybe. Doesn't change the fact achievements are implemented into the system and Live far better than trophies are with PSN and the PS3 though.

A lot don't care (like me) because trophies are poorly implemented. Not really a big achievement person either though.

How annoying are those babies? I died about 5 times the first time they attacked. It's much easier killing them once you have the pulse rifle. Which I didn't get until after i'd killed the first lot:mad:
 
Just picked up my limited edition one from my local 24 hour asda which is 5 mins walk away. Installing the bonus game now (PS3 so dead space extraction) as I really liked the demo and just got a move also so and thats really good on the demo version so looking forward to having a bash at that also at some point!

I don't understand how you like the second one but not the first. After playing a few hours of DS2, its really not that much different. To be honest, I thought the start of DS1 was a a lot scarier..

Does move work with DS2? The main game that is.

Scarier than running about with no weapons in a straight jkt? are you kidding?:D
 
I am yet to finish the first game, got the the asteroids bit and having trouble keeping the hull at over 50% But loving the game so defo picking this up at the weekend :D

Concentrate your aim on the bigger central asteroids ignore the smaller ones around the edges, try not to overheat. Took me awhile on my first playthrough but when I went through it again last week in readiness for DS2 I managed it first go...which was a surprise to me!

Nope mate, not yet anyway. Definitely not needed though as its very easy to aim with the pad actually! Vastly easier than I was expecting it to be in the controls department anyway lol. Currently on chapter 3 and really loving it so far. Didn't expect the start of the game at all though, which was hilarious :D
 
Well only had time to give it a quick go last night but im still on chapter 1 and just bit further on after i got my plasma cutter and had to defend myself in room cause i didnt get out in time :P (like you could the game lied!)

Movemeant etc is allot better than the first and impaling them is fun but so is throwing the wheel cheers at them in the rec ward hehe

I don't care too much about trophies but the one I think is really pointless and willy waving is that live gamer score..!! lol

Anyhow, I've just put an order in for this after I played both the DS2 demo and the PS3 PSN Extraction Demo with Move - really good games. Just hope I have enough time with GT5 and Mass Effect 2 - so many good games at the moment.....

Do enjoy good single player games....

Glad I picked this up now actually despite my reservations after the first one.

I only played half an hour last night, but they have addressed Issac's character and I'm really glad he talks and isn't so 1 dimensional now.

The sound is still fantastic though, really makes use of a decent home cinema system. There was a bit where some fire extinguishers come on.... makes you proper jump like the old Resident Evil scares, great.
