There is no account for expenses but there are things to pay for.

For reference:

Dawn is about 5am. *yawn*
The sun goes down around 9:15pm
There should be lots of moonlight. Full moon on the following Tuesday.

Can you see Arthur's seat from the Castle? The moon will be rising behind Arthur's seat at about 4pm.

Is the castle on the horizon when viewed from Arthur's seat? The sun will be setting maybe 5 degrees to the right of the castle (over the mound, also over the Craggs) as viewed from Arthur's seat.

Wow Andrew, that's a VERY kind offer!
I can afford the train tickets there and I've been struggling with looking for lodging that's reasonable in price... (Sam, I've even considered Hostel to share, the cheapest is around £25 sharing with 7 others with a communal bathroom, the others are £80+ a night)

Andrew, if your offer stands, you mind if I take one of the bed? I'm clean, I wash up and I cook Chinese :p Oh and can wake up early if I want to :)
 
I should be able to make this one. Its 3.5 hrs for me on train but can live with that. Andrew is there any space left and would you mind me stealing a bed for the night. Just dont fancy a 3.5 hr return trip on the same night.

Always fancied shooting in Edinburgh looking forward to it.
 
This is all working out very nicely.

I was looking for 10 folk and we've got 10 folk.

We have 6 beds in the apartment and 6 people that want to stay over.

We have a chinese cook

We have some cracking photographers.

Phate isn't coming :-)

The apartment is in a good location, in the shadow of the castle (literally - at about 5am by my calculation)

The apartment has wifi

Now, all we need is good weather!

I cant see to much of a problem for this tbh but dependant on arrangements it should be cool a hostel sounds like the plan for me :)
 
Just to keep you up to date. The two of us are more than likely to be working the Friday night but we could take the car rather than train and therefore can be available for shooting early morning/late Sat.
 
I think we should get a big banner saying "OcUK!". :D

This will be the first time I've met anybody from the internet.
Part of me is excited, the other is worried that this could be a well orchestrated mugging. :p

Hello! I am that friend of Laiman, taking the hint and signing up.

I will indeed take the car providing I have one at the time; meet is after the date I plan to sell the car and get a new one sorted. Hopefully all be ready by then

I will be bringing my trusty s95, it is a tradition now :D

I won't book until next month, we will sort our accomodation out, but mind if we hang with the geeks in the evenings?

Don't worry about it, my first was the London meet last time, they are a pretty harmless bunch really. Scariest moment was meeting Gaffer's Beast!
All in all it was a good day, and you will pick up some good tips..

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it, I usually just go out on expo's with my friend but we are both at similar levels of knowledge so nothing ground breaking happens!

Should be good, just need to keep the date open. :)

I just had a look through you're blog some really impressive images there...

... Can't help but think some of them would benefit from the crop factor of the 1000D however.. :p
