Selling / Trading in a lot of DVDS

trouble is especially with MM and dvds, by the time you add postage on you might as well throw them away.

My youngest daughter has at least 5 DVD's a week from CEX all individually wrapped & posted and all cost between 50p to a £1.
I don't know how they make a profit on her.

Console games have shocking depreciation. To think of all the games I've bought over the years for £40 quid a shot and are now only worth a quid or two in perfect condition.

That's why I refuse to sell the games. I'd rather they stay in a cupboard than be offered a pound or 2 for them. Heck, I'd rather burn them than have the smarmy person working behind the counter say the 10 games I've taken in (I've been there when a friend has traded in about 10) means he'll only have to put another 10 towards it!!!!

Some of the best include , Matrix collection, star wars trilogy, AI, stuff like gladiator, LOTR. Some of these I now either have on HD / Blue ray.

I think blueray is still taking off to be honest. whenever we goto sainsburys or asda, there is only 1-2 sections of blueray, all the rest still are still dvd. When its the other way around Blueray will be mainstream.

Music Magpie + 1, i sold a buttload of music and dvds, games to them last year, very easy to do and they collect if the list is more than 100 items

Music Magpie. Most of their prices seems fair enough as single DVD's for the most part aren't really worth all that much any more, and if you think you could get more then you're welcome to go through the hassle of trying to sell all those discs.

I eBay the 'special ones' of course.

Depreciation is going to be horrendous whatever the route you chose.

That Music Magpie site should make an iPhone app so I can just scan barcodes. I've got over 300 DVDs I could do with shifting of my shelf. It's gonna take a while to input all the numbers

sold most of my collection of dvds on here , i got a nice amount too.

Its online though ,you just email list of what you want to sell in detail and they send you a valuation and then you decide weather to sell ,if so you post them and they send you a cheque.

thats how it was done when i last used them.
