Anyone on here got a Yaris Tsport ?

Guy in work has one and loves it, had it from new its about 5 years old now. But he says its a great car and drives very very well.

There's a chappy on here with one, but he got bent over big time for insurance so it might not be your best bet for a first car dependant on your age and other factors.

yer im waiting till end of feb when im 19 and im putting my parents on it as secondary drivers.
It comes down to about £2000
which for a 1.5L at my age isnt too bad i spose

What are the premiums like on 'normal' cars? What you've got to weigh up is if that extra is worth it for the privilege to insure a tepid/lukewarm hatchback.

Personally I'd say wait a few years until you can afford to buy, run and insure something with a bit more kick, but I know how difficult it is to wait at this age :).

Start off at the bottom, small cheap car like a Fiesta 1.25, or a 306, 106, Saxo etc etc.. Get a year or 2 no claims and work up to a good quick car. It will be worth it :)

Um £1500 on a 1.6 shouldn't be hard...

You are getting raped getting a "hot hatch", just don't bother, it's not worth the extra money and likelyhood to crash"

I agree with what others have said, but really it's up to you. Ultimatley your going to have to make your own mistakes to so speak :)

My mate had one of these for a first car, put it in a hedge, writing it off in the process. But then again he does drive like a loon.
Drove really nice, and the build quality and safety features were probably the only reasons he managed to walk away from the crash. If I'd have done the same thing in my car (saxo) it would have bin instant death.
Seem to remember his insurance being sub 2k at 18 too? (possibly even 17 when he first got insured)

i think it must be where i live or something because 2k is one of the cheapest quotes i have got on any car :/

btw when you put your foot down in it can you feel the G's or is it kinda mehh

i dont speed but i luvvvvv my acceleration :P

My mate got one as an upgrade from his first car, he loved it :)

Unfortauntly a biker went into the side of him after he pulled out from the end of his street, so got written off. :(
