Possible Test Drive Unlimited 2 information!

Installing as I type :D

Never heard of simplygames before but they are very quick for shipping and delivery so I shall be using them again.

Had another quick go this afternoon, had. A quick race with a random player, and there was no lag, and it played perfectly. Only downside is hearing all the other players talking and playing music, with no option to disable them. Will have to have my mic turned on in the draw so their voices don't come through my tv. Wish there was an option to just hear friends only.

Roll on Thursday now so that I can give the game a good few hours attention!

Not just join a party?
 
Its the same as TDU1 - if you drive past someone with a mic you hear what they are saying - a lot of idiots it still seems to enjoy playing crap europop for no reason...

I swear you could stop it in TDU1 but I did have PC version...

Half of them don't even realise there doing it, by default in TDU1 mic was on, I hadn't realised myself until someone asked me if I was ok as I had a bad cold and was coughing a lot :p

I know in TDU1 there was an option to either disable other players or to turn them down?

Haven't played it online for ages (play in offline a lot) so can't remember.

Shame about no Lamborghinis, hopefully they may get something sorted out for a DLC later on.

Lack of porsche is no surprise as they weren't in TDU1 to start with, so hopefully they'll be added later on as well (in Ruf guise that is).

Seems to be fairly good feedback so far about PS3 version, look forward to trying it out, shame I have another 10 day wait :(

I played the first on pc as well, don't know how it worked on the 360. Will have a better look at the options tomorrow.

Heard the club houses are quite dear, will need to do a bit of saving up:)

Supposedly Lambo might end up being an EA exclusive - I doubt it but I guess that might be why they had difficultly getting in TDU2 but they featured in TDU1.

Porsche for me in all honesty I wont miss, Id rather have the RUFs but then again Im too used to them being featured in the GTs. The funny thing is though that TDUs developers, Eden Games, developed NFS:Porsche Unleashed which is easily one of the best NFS games...

And thats only the non-upgraded ones - think the higher upgrade tiers cost something like 500k...

P.S. Ive created a TDU2 chat room and invited people I know on my FL that will have the game - better than nothing - I hope you guys have comms once we are in-game!

Dno whats the reasoning behind Maserati missing - not that many have hassled devs like they have over Lambo issue...

Is your chat room on PS3? If so, how does it work? Would it mean I would only hear those people in that room, and not the randoms in game?
 
Nothing as special as that - this is Sony :p. Just a text chat room outside of the game (think IRC) - maybe useful for chat and finding people when this game gets going. Also I guess some people that dont have voice comms could find it somewhat useful in-game...

Unfortunately something like cross-game voice comms is never gonna happen :(

Do you know of any way I can block peoples mics in games? Never really been an issue for me before, but as this is always online it may become annoying.
 
I suspect there wont be - no doubt an oversight due to developers assuming being online equals better, though some devs have thought about it before (I know Resistance 2 had options and so does FIFA)...

If its not in the settings all I can say is post in the official forums - sorry :(. For some reason though Im kinda glad Im not getting this for the X360 if this doesnt get fixed - would annoy me senseless...

Oh well, will just have to have my headset turned on and in my draw. Too old to be listening to random chat and/or music from other people:)
