Possible Test Drive Unlimited 2 information!

So had a bit more of a play tonight and so far its pretty decent, drives quite simliar to TDU1 and the graphics and roads ways are good. Tried it with my Fanatec wheel and unplugged it and went back to the controller as it was horrible, the steering has a dead zone and slowness to it which just doesn't work. Maybe have another play at a later date but for now I'll stick to the pad and keep the wheel for NFS Shift 2
 
Yeah I read theres no specific settings for wheels - not sure if there will be, will try it with my G25 though and see if I have any better luck...

One issue is when you are out of the car you still have to use the same control interface to move :/ - kinda makes me think the pad might be the simpler one to use anyway...

Yeah I get the impression wheels were a bit of an after thought (if any thought at all...) to say the least and controlling the avatar as he works around is just stupid with a wheel, you can't look left or right all you can do is strafe
 
Any news yet on the car deliveries etc.. seen any around? (Sorry to go on, just had to perfect each one in tdu 1, loved cruiding at 30mph in the DB5 :p) lol
 
Two minds on this still. The graphics in the videos, look awful, very poor textures etc.

How do they compare to the actual game?

And can anyone confirm the question above about car deliveries?

Looks alright, tbh i couldn't give two hoots long as it looks passable, TDU1 had great gameplay in spades, sadly this is missing from 80% of new games so long as TDU2 has the same then its a winner in my book.
 
I agree, I find TDU graphics ok for the amount of gameplay on offer, I just thought in the videos they do not look as good as TDU1.

Might rent it first.
 
Cool, I finally gave in and preordered this :) Didn't even try the multiplayer on the first TDU so I look forward to giving this a go.

Hope it isn't like all fringe titles where everyone seems to move on very quickly to the next new thing :(

Will be able to let you know tomorrow hopefully. Had another 10 minute go today, and still doing the intro bits, not started free roaming much yet to find any.

As for the graphics, I played the first on a high end pc, and must say that it at least looks as good (from what I remember), they're certainly far from being poor.
 
How are the driving dynamics compared to TDU1? I loved TDU1 but the dynamics of the cars/bikes was a bit annoying.

Also are there any bikes in this one?
 
I see that simplygames are shipping the 360 version now, with the free next day delivery you'd still have it by the weekend.
