Is This a Good Rig?/£1000 Spec?

Hi. I am considering getting a new PC, something that will last quite a while. I did consider upgrading my current PC, but the amount of parts I would need to swap out (basically everything except the hard drive) means I might as well get a whole new rig.

Aaaanyway, I saw this one listed on eBay. I know it's a little dodgy, and the knee-jerk reaction is to say "buy the parts and build it yourself", but can some of you take a look and tell me what you think

If it isn't worth the money, then can someone help me spec up a PC for around £1000-1200? It doesn't need a copy of Windows, or very big hard drives (maybe just a 500gb one).

So, any ideas?

Haha, you were just waiting to pounce, weren't you?
Are SSDs really necessary? I mean, what do you use them for?
Plus like I said, I don't need a copy of windows, so I might use the money saved there to go for a more powerful PSU, or a slightly better graphics card.

if you dont need a copy of windows, just save the money in your pocket.

and the SSD is for the operating system and favorite games/apps to run from.

Ah right okay. But again, it's a big lump of money that could be better spent on getting more powerful/better parts. Will using a normal SATA HDD bottlneck the computer?

How about this setup:

Ah right, good :)
I won't be buying it right now, because I won't be needing it until mid/end of Feb, plus those graphics cards are on pre-order right now.
Thanks for all your help. If I remember, I'll update this thread once it's built and running.

Oh right, I suppose I'll order them now then. I wonder if I could put them in my current rig until I can afford the rest? What do you think? (my specs are in my signature).

Ok, I'll do that, thanks.

Edit: Right, all ordered. Bit of faffing about because it kept declining my debit card, so I had to use Paypal (ugh!).

Personally I'd go with stulid's dual graphics with SSD recommendation, its a really good set up ! Don't waste money on a 1000w PSU, you might think you'll need it in the future but I highly doubt you ever will :)

The only thing I'd do differently is the choice of case, instead of the Cooler Master II Advanced (Which I'm currently Using) go for the Antec 902, it keeps everything much cooler and has the new USB 3.0 front bay and speed controls for all the fans, I wish I bought this case after my Antec 900 instead of the CMII :P

Yeah, I picked out the case because I thought it would be better to go with a full-sized tower to fit the 2 graphics cards in. Also, a couple of the reviews state that the fans in that Antec 902 are a bit noisy, so it might be better if I replaced them with better quality silent fans.

As to the PSU, I assumed having 2 high-end graphics cards would eat up the wattage quickly, so I would need a powerful PSU. What kind of power would you recommend?
