Wiping a SSD?

Just use a secure erase or sanitary erase. Not sure what a sanitary erase does but a secure erase (for SandForce drives) basically pumps high voltage through the NAND which wipes them and resets them to their "fresh" state. Doing it many times will damage the NAND but you only need to do it once.

I wouldnt recommend it you would prob ruin it by using up usless writes.
You would be a lot better going down the parted magic route and using secure erase.

If you are onabout your 120gb OCZ Vertex 2e this is the way to go

Info about secure erase
The ATA Secure Erase command is designed to remove all user data from a drive. With an SSD, this command will put the drive back to it original out-of-box state. This will initially restore its performance to the highest possible level and the best (lowest number) possible write amplification, but as soon as the drive starts garbage collecting again the performance and write amplification will start returning to the former levels.[24][25] Many tools use the ATA Secure Erase command to reset the drive and provide a user interface as well.

Also on an ssd it takes seconds to secure erase as its just a voltage put accross the whole drive in 1 go deleting everything. (well thats what i read anyways)
