***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

I think it's more a case of getting used to the handling of different cars and becoming better as a driver the more you play it.
Not that the difficulty is based on your Exp. level.

I dont agree with that only because of some of the rally stages where I hadnt even bought/won had a Citreon C4 I think, or done the course etc apart from there, so I wasnt used to driving it in any way shape or form

Either way others have mentioned it, and it seems to fit other particular races also (although the rally ones stick out most)

The constant zooming in and out (right in your central vision) of the rally course in the Special Events is really bugging me (Ive only noticed in Advanced, but its in alll three surface types at this level) - its really distracting

I just remembered something about the hype surrounding GT5. Were bikes not supposed to be included? :P

Supposedly. But now we would just be happy with a fast-forward and rewind option on the replays. It's a great game but the amount of time spent on it hasn't been justified in my opinion.

In comparison the only things I like are the slightly better graphics and handling. I wouldn't have bothered with standard cars at all. No cockpit and shoddy details was a stupid decision. Also in older gts music was usually good, now we have god awful elevator music. But I love it as I've grown up with gt.

multiplayer room. Just for fun, no X1/FGT, will kick anyone who doesn't play nice, mob rule for track/restrictions. Come play!!

Some of the std cars look better than F3 cars, out of photomode they are low poly count affairs in F3 - of course some of the std cars are shocking affairs!

Music in a racing game, who cares as its switched off right!

swear the handling physics seem different when playing online. very weird indeed, anyway late night weekly shop probably catch you in the room later...

I I tried to join the one you put up yesterday but I must have typed the number in wrong as I ended up in a room where most people were driving round the track backwards/dossing about. :(

Couldn't find one with OCUK in the name neither so gave up. (lobby could do with some search or at least something other than track selector to narrow it down a bit)

ah sorry, wasn't using the OcUK name yesterday because I had non-fixed ownership, I like to have fixed ownership with OcUK names so no miscreants end up running rooms with the name on it. When you do join, feel free to announce you're from OcUK and if people are spoiling it for you, I'll usually tell them to tidy up their act if I know they're doing it, obviously I can't always see what's going on but if you let me know, I'll take it srsly.
Helps if you have a head set.

Mind you today we were going backwards down the straight on de la Sarthe but we were doing some top speed testing and I think that's allowable :p
We only had one top speed head on :D

Found that drafting didn't have such a great effect with lmp cars, maybe it's more noticeable with cars which leave a bigger wake, maybe it was down to torque bands, who knows. It's hard to follow too close at 240ish.

Anyway, I'll probably be on again tomorrow.

On seasonal events out of interest whats best chevvy to use for the last one? used the race modified zo6 but its nothing great lol.

Still no sign of the new seasonal events here, although I noticed the online collector's dealership has been filled with a new collection of.. mainly rally cars!
