+1 Very curious.
Because they only like taking mug punters money who bet at every possible opportunity. I can still get on, on betfair as its a exchange but in greyhound markets theres not enough liquidity for me to have what i want on. Having to run round 4 bookies tonight just to get on and then i still have to take SP. They take so much from people who sit in there on roulette all day or sit backing horses they know nothing about but asoon as its time to pay out properly they do not like it.

How odd. You talk like you are some sort of seasoned, experienced pro gambler yet in reality you've only been able to bet just over a year!
If I was a bookie and some 19 year old came in saying 'Need to get a price, wanna back a dog on!!! got the liquidity' I'd limit him to 50 quid as well.

No different from people who have only been driving a few years knowing lots about cars, because they have lived around them for a long time etc.
in that scenario i'd let him bet what he wants (within normal shop limits).
