So, I saw 2011 in single, split from the Mrs and spent a couple of weeks moping about like a sad ****. Now, getting over the woe of being an eligible bachelor again a mate of mine voiced the idea of a holiday. We mused a couple of ideas over a few beers, and rounded up to a couple of conclusions:

1) Head off to the States, fly to Houston, see friends we used to work with, beers, then hire a car and foxtrot oscar off to California. Drive the coast, then head back to the UK.

2) Drive Europe. I'm toying with buying an MX5, so what better way to run it in than driving France, Switzerland and Italy's famous roads (stopping off on the way obviously).

Question - what would you do? I'm leaning towards option 1, but option 2 certainly has it's charms. Some of those Top Gear-esque roads and vistas, ah yeah. :D

Well as you're now an eligible bachelor again and the chances of an English person being able to speak more than 2 different European languages being very slim, but everyone in the states speaking English, it might be easier to pick up ladies in the states? eh? eh? eh?

asmuch as i hate the leaders of the states i can't say that all yanks are the same as their leaders soi'd still go to the states in all honesty, but thats only as i've been to europe

but how many europians eat all fast food makin them fat ???

the states isn't like what it's like on T.V, there's a lot more fat ppl over in the states than you can imagine...

but thinkin on it's a lot easier to pull fat birds and they put more effort in when in the sack lol

Option 2 all the way, it's easier, cheaper, probably more fun, stop off in Amsterdam and it's definitely more fun, plus you don't have to deal with the irritating accents and immigration nonsense

Deffo the us, bit I'd not bother with LA I really wasn't keen.

Boston is amazing, so is Miami and Vegas too. Tho they aren't exactly near each other lol

The coast road from Cali to San fran is spectacular, and the scenery in the us is mind-blowing.

Personally, option 2. There are places in the states that are nice, but, it isn't the best place I've been to and wouldn't go out of my way to go there again.

Besides, a road trip around europe would be pretty cool.
