FPS players: How many of you use the arrow keys to move ??

Guys do you use the arrow keys to move forward/back/left/right in FPS ??

I've not used them since mouse look was invented.

Honestly going back to games like Doom or Heretic i don't understand how i could play them without mouse look and strafe (hurray for zdoom). WASD (or ESDF as i think some people prefer) just gives you more nearby buttons to press.

I used to when I was 15 until my mate came over and laughed at me! Didn't even know people used awsd until he told me.

Can't use WASD since always end up pressing a button beside by mistake altho had to use it in Dead Space 1. Arrows just feel more natural for me.

My current set up. Mainly used for COD games atm but most FPS' fit into it.

I'm rubbish at using the keyboard and mouse (still getting used to it) because I'd always been a cosole gamer. I'm still learning now but I use pinnacle a lot because it has official button setups for the xbox pad that you just load up (depending on the game) and its just as though the pad was made for it. No faffing about like with xpadder, its all done for you.

Only thing with this is I get totally owned in all the mutiplayer games as you can't react anywhere near as fast with a pad. This is why using the pad with pinnacle game profdiler is just a temporary measure until I'm good enough with the keyboard and mouse.

Depends on the game. I use both WASD and Arrow keys. Use to be exclusively arrow keys when I was younger.

last used arrow keys was with doom but as someone mentioned already not used them since mouse look was invented.

That looks horrible!

Part of the good thing about being a lefty is having the keypad free for your right hand

I use a mix and match between WASD and Arrow Keys, just depends on the game.

An online or quick/basic FPS i'll remap everything over to arrow keys as I'm a bit better with them, less risk of fat finger syndrome (though my fingers are almost skeletal heh) and also more comfortable for my wrist/arm if I'm sitting there for a long time without much time for pauses. For games that have an extensive set up of keys like Arma or benefit from having the top row of keys (rpgs for quick slots etc) I'll use WASD.
