****Official Fallout New Vegas Thread****

I am 15 hours in have done half the side quests, and most of the main story... Not impresed by the length of the game so far, considering I put 85 hours into Fallout 3.... Still enjoying it mind.

I swear I'm the other way round, done most of the Story and most of the Side Quests and my save is at ~95 hours... where as Fallout 3 I never remember it being that high even with all 5 DLCs.

This feels like it has more to do, but then Fallout 3 took me a good 50 or 60 hours on my save to do every quest in the game and some of the other trophies too.

See I think the main thing is the wasteland design, in Fallout 3 I would pick up a quest, but have to enter and leave several metro systems to get there, along the way I would find 2 or 3 unexplored buildings each with their own story, and mostly finding another quest to detour onto.

However with New Vegas I pick up a quest and start heading to the location, the most that stands in my way is a pack of Deathclaws or a few Super Mutants, while still causing a problem, they dont cause me to go off exploring for so long and soon the quest is over!

Finished Dead Money and I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed. I found the first third of the DLC quite enjoyable -the characters you meet are interesting and the atmosphere is good enough to suck you in.

However, I found the final two thirds to be a real grind. The collar and poisonous gas became really annoying, particularly the collar which forces you to trial and error your way through various parts of the 'map'.

On the plus side you do get two great weapons - the Holorifle and the Automatic Rifle. Plus you can get a ton of gold at the end that can be sold for a lot of money.

All in all, 6/10.
 
Hopefully getting this game this week but im not sure which platform to get it on. I need to decided between either the PS3 or the XBOX. Im mainly getting it for the xbox due to having played more games on it (along with Fallout3) and wanting the gamerscore. On the PS3 though i only have one game which is blackops and thats due to all my mates having it on the PS3.

All this aside i would also like to know which one has the least bugs, glitches and framerate issue (if there is any). I have browsed some threads on IGN and there are reports of bugs on the PS3 side but found nothing on the xbox side.

Just buy it on whichever platform you use most. There's bugs on both sides.
 
I did it, I got my 7th Platinum with this game!!

The last trophy I needed was the Hardcore one, in the end I did it with a speed run which was great fun, it took me 2:42 hours from start to finish and there are people that did the complete run in under two hours.

Nice one m8 is the PS3 game less glitchy now ??? havent played it since i got plat on it probably 2 to 3 months ago .

I've heard mixed reviews. Seems to be one of those you either love or hate

Haven't had the chance to play myself yet as I chose to get New Vegas on the PS3.
 
I think I might crack on with the 360 version of this tomorrow. Completed the majority of it when I had it on PS3 but traded it in before I managed to finish it. Think I'll side with Mr House this time instead of Yes Man. :)
