C of E hypocrisy.

*waits for the inevitable belief bashing*

Do not the Police and other groups also ban membership of the BNP?

Given the level of institutional racism in the Police, is that not also hypocrisy in action?

Police are banned from membership of the BNP as they are from active politics in other parties. Membership of the BNP would invite disciplinary proceedings as an extra though.

As for Lord McPherson's institutional racism allegation, I am still waiting to see that generalisation in action.

Racism exists in the force and I am not naive enough to say otherwise but institutional ? I disagree.

Slightly off-topic, but I had to listen to some naive cabby gent going on about how the problems were all the immigrants, my wife looked at me from across the -quiet- pub, and just shoke her head gently as to say "just don't say anything", as she knew I'd be steaming inside, with this guys insinuations. Racism is based on fear.

Anyway, amazing straight away the general **** off of religion in this thread. Shame.

The question is, why have they done this. Do they actually have a problem with clergy supporting the BNP? Or is this more of a campaign about not wanting to be associated with them?

Does anyone else thinks this stinks of hypocrisy? Like them or loathe them the BNP are a legitimate political party.

Discrimination never seems to be a problem when it comes to female Bishops.
Or their hatred and intolerance of homosexuality, which they share with the BNP.

Have you read any of the BNP policies?

Yes, and having done so I would ask why on Earth you would play Devil's Advocate for such an asinine waste of paper? Admittedly, I have not read their manifesto cover-to-cover, but the use of language in it is thinly-veiled nationalist rantings and hair-brained xenophobia.

Pull out of the EU?
Increasing levels of corporate tax on non-UK businesses?
Public referenda on proposed foreign takeovers?
UK being colonised by Muslims?
Islam incompatible with the West?

I appreciate these are forums and people do enjoy fluffing the opposite side of an argument, but this is ridiculous. The BNP would bring the UK to its economic knees in the name of a nationalist regime that is wholly incompatible with how the wider world works.

Having done a great deal of academic research lately upon public expenditure and the state of the UK's finances, especially pensions (of which the BNP envisage themselves as some kind of great crusaders) it is apparent that they are utterly ****ing oblivious to the state Britain is in.

I am, truly, laughing out loud at the OP who is so clearly a BNP supporter just trying to stir up some trouble. No doubt a proud daily mail reader.

The BNP, like all racist scumbags, use slimey words and language trickery to put forward a racist agenda while denying any actual links to 'racism'. Its like the theif who is caught red handed, looks at the cop with puppy dog eyes shinin 'what me, officer? No it wasn't me officer, this dvd player is mine officer, you have no proof officer, can i buy you a drink officer?'. Judge a man by his actions not his words.

The trouble is, slimey words and language trickery are very good at leading otherwise sane people astray, and these people are masters at their art.

Oh oh and theres more, lets take a look at this 'Rev West, the BNP's religious affairs spokesman' mentioned in the article speaking against the move.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Council_of_Britain

The Christian Council of Britain (CCB) is an organisation founded by Rev. Robert West

...
The CCB is opposed to female ordination and leadership and the ordination of gay men. The Council believes that there is a 'godly importance of race and nation' and 'especially' welcomes white British Christians into membership of the organisation

So to quote the OP
Discrimination never seems to be a problem when it comes to female Bishops.

Face, egg, on yours

Thread motion invalidated

And if you want a good laugh i recommend this: http://christiancouncilofbritain.co.uk/downloads/72-racism-is-not-what-you-have-been-told
'Racism is not what you have been told'? No you racist scum-bag, because those of us with half a brain can deduce what racism is for ourselves

Seriously, check out their website, its a laugh a minute over there. There are some youtube videos of this racist ranting as well.

You could change just one or two words in those paragraphs and it would apply to any politician, it's a slimey, slimey game!

I won't argue with you, I am not a Policeman, but it is widely reported that institutional racism exists within the Police Force and given the few Officers I know I am not sure that I would dismiss it.

Personally I think the Police should be free to join whatever Party they wish as long as it doesn't interfere with their duties, I can, however see why they are not.

You give them too much credit. Idiots are taken in by the bull**** that they shill for a living. Their laughable share of the popular vote in both council and general elections last year goes to show this.

I've got a feeling they actually got more votes than last time, they were just spread thinner if you understand what I mean, 100% sure though.
