Early access(head start) should be available to anyone who has pre-ordered the game. Where ever you ordered it from, they should give you a pre-order or VIP code that you need to apply to your account. Once this has been applied you can start playing on the 24th feb.

Rift lost me as customer before I even played the beta I got accepted into.
No matter what or when I always freeze at 89% loading and then an Error pops up saying ports 6900-6909 need to be open.
Well I'm at college, we have no access to the routers and can't unlock anything. They also refuse to open ports that weren't already open.
So no Rift for me, ****ed me off alright. It's the first time I've even been unable to play a game because of ports at College.

Or, it being a beta test, you could have, you know, actually reported it and possibly gotten it fixed instead of whining about it here?
Of course I reported it. The point in it isn't it.
I got told, well you need those ports open and that's that.

There's a code you can put in somewhere and it gives you a rift hat. I got it from TF2 but don't play rift so someone else can have it.
I think it works, not sure where you have to fill it in etc. possibly on their website under "redeem code" or maybe in-game.

This is a very good thing. If you hadn't beta'd it and just bought the release version you'd be stuck with a game you couldn't use due to your college's security.
Find an admin and bribe him with doughnuts to be honest
I got a BETA invite by getting the Rift walker achivement in TF2. Well I think that's why I got it
If the price is £24.99 then I'll take one!

Really unsure if the class system + rifts are enough to keep me in the game will give it a good play!
