not that i'm gay, but what were you expecting?! if you go into it knowing that (assuming you aren't a munter) you're going to get hit on and can just brush it off you can have a really great time. As said above, the music, drinks, fun etc... is more often than not better than a straight club.
You're evidently not comfortable with a difference in sexuality, or as comfortable in your own skin as you thought you were.

Last time I went to gay club in London (was the only place in Leicester Square that wasn't rammed) with some guy and girl mates it really wasn't bad at all - yes you get guys chatting/hitting on you but they're usually quite friendly. In the end we had a pretty fun time as we were just socialising within our group and at the end of the day it's just a bar/club.
Worst was when I went for a wizz and a guy came in, stroked my side, went to the urinal next to me to and said "How you doing?!". I'm not even joking, bad times
