Rear ended :(

Would they not have any records so that she could use them towards putting a claim in?

They have records which state she went to A&E but the was no conclusive diagnosis. She's in the process of checking out her options as she's going to need several operations all of which are covered by the NHS but with huge waiting lists.

You should direct your sentiments to incompetent drivers, not me.
I quite agree, the driver should not have ran into you.

Or should I avoid getting my car fixed to make an insignificant contribution towards keeping premiums down, as well?
No, of course not.

You have every right to get your car rapaired as it was not your fault.

My beef is your frankly bull**** £4k+ "injury" claim, which we all have to pay for.

Had you been given a few hundred for your "discomfort" then, perhaps fair enough.

I think 'Fox is bang on the money, and I think you know it too.;)

Hey! enjoy the dosh though!

The irony is, there are many of you who criticise injury compensation on the grounds of it pushing premiums up, yet go on to recommend accident management companies like Helphire and Europa

Not me.

companies like Helphire and Europa that charge the third party insurance company RIDICULOUS sums for hire cars and their services. £130 a day for a 1.6 Focus anyone?

I see we are back to the good old MikeHiow tactic of making things up in order to support your point of view. You should know by now that such lies don't work. For your information the official approved cost of a Ford Focus 1.6 through credit hire organisations is agreed at £38.30 a day + VAT. Not £130. Credit Hire companies now stick to the ABI maximum agreed settlement rates as they have claims rejected if they don't. These are also maximum settlement rates, they could be even lower.

Why make things up Mike? Why tell us its £130+ a day for a FOcus 1.6 when it isn't? I dont understand why you make things up becuase you always end up getting found out?

Do you make up the other things you tell us as well?

Why should we beleive a word you post? If you are happy to make up things which are easily disproved are we really to beleive you don't do it about things we can never disprove?

Just LOL at you trying to tell us the rate these companies charge a Focus 1.6 at is almost £100 more than the truth!

This is absolutely classic.

Well it's a good job I've still got the documentation then, isn't it.

Bye.

Rent a van for the day and give old faithful a full on back end blaster while its parked, not that i condone that **** of course :D

BF of my wifes cousin crashed his car not so long ago - fearing it wouldn't be written off he got it into his head that a "little crash" would make the damage worse and make sure the car would be written off.

He bottled at the last because he didn't want to hurt himself :D I swear this is true.

Love, 15, to MH by the looks of it Fox? :)

Bye.

Makes no difference - they'll have been paid £38.20+VAT per day for that Focus irrespective of what the invoice says. They don't get to make up any price they want anymore. What they put on the invoice to make you think you've got thousands for nothing is neither here nor there.

Helphire are a signatory to the ABI's Credit Hire Protocol.

Do you honestly think ANYONE, be it insurance based or not would fork out £139 a day for a focus............

REALLY?

It would get thrown out in court. Hence the establishment of the Credit hire protocol to avoid court battles. Helphire are a signatory to The agreement.

Love all the anti compo whinging in here......yet, you can bet your back side that they would all follow the same claim process for a personal injury had they been in the same situation.

Who gives a monkeys what he got......we pay insurance to cover us for halfwhits driving into us and causing damage/injury. How injured would someone have to be before the OCUK clan didn't bother hunting them down with the PC stick.

has to be said, this forum is full of hypocrites

couldnt be further from the truth, My car was written off from a rear ender, it was hit so hard the roof bent, I didn't claim for a non existant injury

what do I win?

Likewise, was in a fiesta which hit a bus, my left clavicle has been funny every since, did i claim, did i heck.

In a Nova which a friend decided to take a roundabout at 60mph, didn't work ended up on two wheels up a kerb with the nova written off, did i claim, did i heck.

Got rear ended in my dads car by some old fool in a Senator, did i claim, did i heck.

Ah the joys of being 18 again!

so you or the driver of the car you were in caused accidents and you didn't claim for some reason? I wonder why?

And again, what did you think you would gain from not claiming for a personal injury? An OCUK award for not increasing insurance costs?

Because i was brought up with morals thats why, just because every man and his dog is claiming doesn't mean i should, i have no intention of falsely claiming money off a company for an injury that's hard to disprove.
