You said you had whiplash, whiplash is soft tissue damage and not broken bones.
and that means i didn't get injured in the crash?

Broken bones > Stiff neck.
Special doctor is special, he can only agree with your appraisal of the condition, i could walk right into a doctors now and claim i had whiplash and he couldn't do anything to disprove this.
Broken bones > Stiff neck.
I'm guessing you've never suffered any great muscular pain then! It's worse than a broken bone imo![]()
I have constant lower back pain along with irregular joint pain too...but I just get on with life.![]()
If someone ran into the back of me I'd claim it as well. People claiming the morale high ground that it puts all our premiums up and we all pay for it doesn't cut it.
How many people here claim some form of benefit even child allowance despite not really needing it. That costs us all as well. Never yet met anyone morally superior enough to give it back?
Besides the payout of 4k could end up being pocket change if the problem causes you issues later on it life. If it didn't hurt I wouldn't claim, but even if it was sore for a day I'd be putting a claim in.

And if that was caused by an accident would you not claim?

Maybe it should be paid into an account you can use only for medical use rather than a new dishwasher and holiday?
How about not being able to do your job because of it? That money would also be needed for the new dishwasher etc. I was off work for a few days for whiplash, and only got £250 for the week. No where near what it actually cost me!
It's a dick head thing to do given people who genuinely get hurt in such accidents and actually need the money. If everyone claims then at some point the compensation figures will have to fall. Personally I'd say it's for the best that they make it extremely difficult to claim for whiplash and you have to have solid proof that it's really affecting your life. .
If it was as a result of an accident now and I had to have paid for physiotherapy etc. then I may claim, but only for the costs of the treatment, not for any financial gain, but even then, they way I've been brought up this is not something I'd likely do. I'm much more likely to just pay out of my own pocket for treatment
Forget all the other ****** Mike, what car you buying now you had a money top up?
Makes me laugh this forum, iv never seen so many perfect people in one place, who gives a **** what hes claimed, every other ****ers doing it, let him get on with it, or do you all really think your insurance company is going to pass the saving on to you if all claims suddenly stopped.
