I have a max budget of £300 to spend.

I play a lot of games, but I love to have a vibrant and colourful image. Also I want it to be able to do 1900*1080 minimum.

What do you guys recommend, it must be available from Overclockers.

Regards

Tim

The Dell U2311H will have the best colours as its a IPS panel and will have excellent viewing angles. You will also get excellent warranty with Dell with no hassles if anything goes wrong.

The XL2410T is a 120hz screen so thats why its expensive,it will allow 120 fps with Vsync on compared to 60 with other screens.

The G2420HDBL is a superb screen for the money with decent colours, dont be fooled by its low price, its also a very thin screen as its LED.

The Samsung is apparently a very good screen, have a search on google to look at reviews for all the screens listed.

Out of the four monitors listed, i would have to suggest the Samsung, but it use to be £170, and not nearly £200.

I like this Samsung, the looks anyway. I haven't searched for reviews yet.

one of my monitors is the 23" version, and its great, also got the 24" version linked above for a clients build, and it was epic, showed of the quality to the new owner of the PC I built by playing 1080 stuff from youtube in fullscreen such as Toy Story 3 trailer, and just a big WOW!!!!

I had two benq G2420HDBLs, let me tell you, the colours are NOT good at all. The price reflects performance. I'm activly going around playing down this monitor, so many people gave it good reviews before i bought them but they have to be without a shadow of a doubt the most disapointing purchase i've ever made!

I have two Samsung P2450Hs at work, they're much nicer than the BenQs all round.

I think gaming probably rules out most IPS panels, but really depends on what you expect from the monitor. I'm currently using a P2450H, it has really nice image quality (best TN I've seen in the flesh) and the upscaling and RTA is very good too. I paid £160 in September. Downsides are that it's wobbly because of a cheap stand, but that's pretty much it.

Wrong,my 2410 is superb for gaming with a 6ms spec.

People here have the Dell listed and have said its fine for gaming, the ms specs on monitors are highly exaggerated anyway

Taken for the tftcentral review:

As I've said, response time and input lag are both very good, making this a good potential gaming screen.

Any one use the Dell U2311H for FPS gaming???

How do you find the response, lag?!?

Have no issues at all. Went from a 2ms TN screen and didn't notice any difference in the ghosting. In fact, after using the Dell U2311H and then going back to the 2ms TN, I noticed the TN panel has some weird ghost artifacts, something to do with the overdrive feature, something the Dell did not exhibit.

Once you go IPS you won't go back. TN panels look almost watery in comparision.
