Who's buying Two Worlds 2?

What is the multiplayer element about? Co-op?

Not quite sure yet. It sounds like Animal Crossing on the Gamecube but I could be completely wrong, and probably am.

Apparently you can build your own village and do quests from it, you can get other people online to wonder around your village. It would make sense if you could do some co-op quests I guess.

Obviously the PC version has went gold so it must be held up by the console port. Least it isn't a console to PC port thank god.

I've noticed there is an option to redeem codes for extra content. I hope us UK customers, who have waited a lot longer then the rest of the world it seems, get some free codes. I doubt it though :(

IGN reviewers are scum though.

And I can't take it seriously when he has a picture saying "Cans."

I don't think using a 360 pad will make it better. I preferred M+KB in the end.

It's not even a ******* review, just his mindless opinion.

As a comment at the bottom says it's an Editorial. He just cites negatives things about the game and that's it.

Extremely unprofessional garbage to be honest but he can get away with it because EA or Activpishing isn't involved.

This game is absolutely the best modern day RPG I have played for some time. The dialog isn't as professionally done as much as Dragon Age, but despite what reviews it is still good imo, and has more than 2 actors *looks at Oblivion case*. It makes Dragon Age look like a demo and Oblivion so bleak and a chore to play I wonder why I loved it in the first place.

The amount of customization for things such as weapons, armour, alchemy and on a more basic level skills is unbelievable (not so much the skills but it still has loads of them).

The music is brilliant, top draw. The combat, though it can have camera issues at times close combat wise is really enjoyable I think. The spells look great oh and I forgot to mention this is probably the most mind blowing customization you get, so much fun.

The game is HUGE despite complaints about the map size, I don't know why these people are complaining. The graphics are great and the environments are varied. The towns and villages are interesting. No major flaws in my opinion. The shadows in tombs are amzing too, the best I've seen. So much I haven't mentioned...

Incredible.

I think I know why it has had some bad press though, perhaps. It is VERY difficult at the beginning, until about level 5-7 with some better gear. I found myself running into some caves to collect a quest item and running the hell out, just a tip.

You have to give this game 2-5 hours before you decide whether to play it more, I can't think why you wouldn't if your a RPG fan.

Check out some info about, like end game which almost makes it a MMORPG, with raids and group quests(I really hope it takes off big time so this reaches it full potential) Then you also have the sim city aspect where you look after your village, while online players can visit.

So much to this game.

The UK and Australian release has been delayed, but there is a reason. They were delayed in time for the first patch which fixes some of the issues I've mentioned.

For some reason they thought they'g release the best version to us Brits and aussies! While the US and most of Europe were play testing it(this could explain the mediocre reviews).

Just thought I'd do a mini review :)

EDIT: I forgot to mention, another very stand out element is the humour, some really genuinely funny conversations and sub quests. This is pretty rare in RPGs, well implemented this well it is.

oblivion and dragon age were both much better than this (IMO ofc)

How long did you play it for?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but there are facts concerning this and the two games you mentioned:

Dragon Age is NO WHERE near the size of it, and the combat, it is a different type of combat yes, is no where near as good either. The music in DA is not as good, the depth I can't think of any think in DA that is better than this apart from the dialog options.

As for Oblivion, where do I start. Graphics, sound, voice acting, environment(not samey, the dundgeons etc. do not look all the same), the customization of weapon, armour and spells. The variation in armour that actually looks different, the variation in quests.. the list goes on. The end game is in a different league. I mean all the gates in the oblivion gates were virtually the same. Plus the enemies in TW2 don't auto level up with the player and all stay the same. Nothing in Oblivion is better imo, what do you think is better?

I'm not arguing I'm just speaking facts.

EDIT: This doesn't require any fixing by the community as far as I can see in anyway.

I'll admit this game is big, there is a lot to do, but it just feels bad to play, is clunky, poor combat, the UI and inventory screen are among the worst seen in an RPG (i think most people who have played would agree).

Like i said im just stating my opinion, there will be some people that agree with me and others who still love the game :)

edit: Also mods fix everything you listed as problems with oblivion, the OOO mod and a quick texture pack fixes everything you listed :) Oblivion is the best RPG since Morrowind IMO

One point you mention, the inventory I forgot about that. But Oblivion isn't much better, if it is better at all. Clunky? Did you not find Oblivion clunky? I don't know what you mean by this... the only thing I can think of is the horse riding, which is dreaful at first, until you get used to it(it is actually similar to Red Dead Redemption, not as smooth though) it becomes pretty good actually, better than Oblivion again. The combat is far superior to Oblivion, that is terrible for melee combat. I don't know what you mean about UI either, it is simple and perfectly cusomizable. I am however using a 360 pad(I think it might be dodgy not to).

Tom, did you play it for more than an hour?

If i had to guess i played about 6-7 hours, maybe i would enjoy it if i put more time into it, ive still got it installed so may come back to it at some point.

It is very easy to get side tracked at the beginning Tom, if you have then this might be a problem.

Personally, if you are a RPG fan then I highly recommend staying with it, however I do think it might be dodgy not using a 360 pad, if this is the case with you.

Sorry for sounding defensive, I just cannot get my head around why any RPG fans don't like it. Three things spring to mind.

360 pad maybe a must I think.
Inventory I don't think is that bad actually, especially if it's compared to Oblivion which is VERY similar.
It takes more time to get into this then any RPG I have played.

Just been thinking more on what you said Tom...

I remember 2 or 3 hours into the game how I got EXTREMELY frustrated with it and was a black ants leg close to deleting it. The reason was you seem so weak at the start, you barely stand a chance of beaten any enemy, and this slowed down progression, especially the main quest.

Once I managed to get better gear (and learnt how to upgrade it with metal and stones) and became relatively powerful, well enough to progress I haven't got annoyed since.

Off to play it now for a few hours :)

I got codes off the net for better armour etc...(I cheated :( )

I don't think this game is in the same league as dragon age etc....it's just different somehow....hated the interface at first but got used to it....almost deleted it after a few moments of play..glad I didn't as it's now taken over my life :) LOVE IT!!!!

The controls were a bit hard to get on with at times.

But I loved the art work of the items, the music, the voice overs were actually better than I had imagined too. Storyline was borderline cliche but it's how it was delivered that was great. It's better than those two in my opinion. A lot more life in TW2, oblivion was scarce and Dragon Age was a horrible long-load instance fest.

wasn't this game released ages ago like october 2010? i remember people making threads about how the map looked huge but once you got past town 1 the rest of the map was pretty much inaccessible. sure it was this game
