What's the best pizza you can buy in a shop

Flour, Semolina, Olive oil, Passata, Tomato puree, an onion, Mozzerella & any other toppings you wish Can all be bought at any super market and made into a pizza by hand it's cheaper healthier and a hell of a lot more tasty!

I wish these ingredients were available out here, I really miss pizzas. Can't seem to get hold of tomato puree. But might be able to get mozzerella.

My favourite ones from UK were the Dr. Oetker's Ristorante ones, really thin base. Used to eat them every night :o

I went to Sardinia some years ago, I couldnt wait to try the pizza's in Italy, I was really disapointed with the quality of them :p

I am hoping its an island thing and the pizzas on the mainland are out of this world when i ever go there.

Pizza in New York is better than pizza in Italy.

One thing to bear in mind when listening to the forum in terms of taste is that most of this forum enjoys eating Subway "sandwiches" (I say that loosely, sandwiches are supposed to used bread...) and also says the best thing about Ikea is the Ikea meatballs.

Haven't bought a pizza in months, I just make my own. I've got the hang of it and they taste amazing:

When I went to Sicily a couple of years ago I thought the exact same thing! The pizza's were watery and generally ****e.

If making your own pizza use a tortilla as the base, it comes out
amazingly thin and crispy

And that is one tasty looking pizza for homemade.. I normally end up with a goodfellas or can't remember the name but the one you cook from a cold oven... Has a tomato stuffed crust and the dough raises as you cook it..

They aren't too bad.

Supermarket - Dr. Oetker Casa di Mama, the ones where you have to cook them at 250C and they bubble and darken like a traditional pizza.

Take away - a place 10 mins away that has a stone oven and is run by Italians.

Thing is, for £5 you get enough ingredients for five pizzas. I expect if you're buying for just one it won't work out cheaper. Couple of weeks ago I made three big pizzas for three people, it was around £1 a pizza for the ingredients.

You can't do five pizzas for £5.
