I'm fascinated by other people's behaviour - you could say I'm a bit obsessed
When I've had the misfortune of staying overnight at a hostel I noticed that some of the residents would take two glasses of juice with their breakfast. I assumed this was because they had some kind of points system on their breakfast allowance.
In the canteen at work, however, a large number of people take two plastic cups of water with their lunch. This can only be because they are too lazy to get up and fill it up again. I genuinely find this very strange when there are two taps dispensing cold filtered water up there and no more than 3-4 metres away. Why would you use two cups when one suffices?
I pointed this out to a colleague and he mentioned (completely seriously) that it was because they don't want to get up and have people look at them walking to the water dispenser.
Seriously?
