Sorry about the silly thread title :p

In my life (excluding this week) i've probably eaten fruit less than 10 times, i get very stressed at work, very tired in the evenings and find it very difficult to get out of bed in the morning......

This week I've eaten a banana every day (some days two) and the difference is incredible! I wake up in the mornings feeling more alert, no more "AGGH i can't open my eyes" i feel more active in the evenings after work, and i feel generally calmer and less stressed at work.

The most amazing food ever!

Obviously everyone or at least the vast majority of you already know this but i'll put it in here any way:

Feeling like crap? tired? stressed? eat a banana.

And just for fun:

I love bananas. I can eat 3 or 4 a day, but the problem with that is they're perfect for about 3 seconds before they go a bit too ripe, so you really need to constantly buy them. I can't stand them unless they have a good bit of brown on them.

That's a good point, i just ate one that was still mostly green skinned and it was a lot thicker and didn't taste quite as good as a nice yellowy browny one

I don't want to be too insulting here but, nice parenting @ your mum and dad.

I still ate a lot of Veg (primarily brocolli and carrots) and used to plow my way through fruit juice (mainly apple juice, and not crappy concerntrate stuff) purely because i just didn't like the taste of fruit, bananas have grown on me though as ive got older :) I simply wouldn't eat other fruit, so nothing down to my parents, who were and still are fantastic parents.

I love banana's but too many make me gassy :(

You tried that "sprinkle some pepper" on it trick from the first link i posted? :D
A few people have a slight problem with the digestion of bananas, the simple answer, even though it sounds strange, is to sprinkle a little Pepper on the banana before eating, it works wonders.

I've always eaten quite a lot of fruit and getting up is never easy! When i was younger they were like sweets to a fat child, my mum use to have to hide or put any fruit out of my reach, especially cherries, from me. Luckily for me, i was a clever child so waited until she was on the phone then i'd drag a chair from one side of the kitchen to the other so i could stand on it and get to the top shelves of the fridge, when she was done on the phone she'd come back in to the kitchen and see me stuffing myself with what ever fruity goodnees i could get hold of! :D I also taught my friends to do this as well :D :D

Fair enough, although fruit juice is nowhere near as good for you as whole fresh fruit. I'm the same really, there are definitely foods I used to hate as a kid (but was forced to eat regardless) that I'm ok with now, an example being parsnips.

Say whaaaaaa!

My minds gone blank but i'm sure there's one or two foods that people argue as to whether they are a fruit or a vegetable? so perhaps i have eaten fruit more times than i thought but the normal: apple, orange, banana, grapes, pears etc fruits i've simply barely ever touched until now :)

Wait until you discover the joys of clementines. ;)
