I went out wednesday night for a curry and when I walked in the house the daughter immediately said "I didn't know you were going for a curry".
Curry smell is like when somebody who has been smoking walks in the house and you aren't a smoker.
One of our Asian friends has mentioned above he spends lots on sprays because his Mums curry smells get into all his clothes.

Curry and spices where used to mask the rotten meat used in cooking due to the heat and ability to keep it fresh, its a simple known fact people claim its spicy due to keep them cool which is rubbish, people sweat to keep cool its a human function, heard that the spices also keep flies away from the food that was sold at the side of the road.

Tbh.. even if some kids do eat traditional Bangladeshi dishes mostly they're not necessarily going to smell of the stuff that much.
Yes they do, when i was married to my Bangladeshi ex-wife i reaked of curry and i didn't even know it until loads of people (friends and family all complained about this) said something
My ex wasn't even cooking curries every night, just 3-4 times a week, that smell just gets ingrained everywhere!
Just to say Bangladeshies outside of Bangladesh are normally clean, but Dhaka itself is a **** hole, no one can deney that
