ebay thread: buyer reicves empty envelope 4 times! please advise

Here goes..

i sold about 40 nokia n97 stylus in black. this person bought one and she said all she got was an empty envelope. so i thought it might have been my mistake as i packed about 10 on the same night although i was sure i sent here one.

i sent out another and she said the same thing' empty envelope blah blah'

sent out another...

sent out another....

she is now threatning to leave negative feedback but im certian i sent her one each time

after hte first time 'it didnt arrive' i offered a refund but she insisted i send her out another one.

you might think why didnt you stop at two but its only 99p so i thought id be helpful


any advise on what to do now she is threatningto leave negative feedback

Send one recorded and see if it gets through or special delivery.

/edit Is it just the stylus in an envelope? You should probably stick it to a bit of cardboard or soemthing.
 
sounds like it could easily pierce the envelope..

Either take the hit on the feedback or use better packaging, I doubt she's trying to take you for a ride tbh
 
A well known scam on ebay that pretty much makes the recorded delivery route worthless. Package was empty/had brick in it.
 
How. Bizarre.

Maybe she just loses them regularly, and likes having a stock of them?

All you can do is take photos of you putting in a stylus, taped to a card, and email her the photos/videos of proof.

Either way, you're a 5th stylus down and will end up with a negative feedback.

It's a scam that can be done by buyer or seller. I think one of the reasons sellers do it is in the hope that the buyer raises an 'item not received' claim. The seller just fills in the tracking info on Paypal then.
 
Strictly speaking, when accepting a recorded delivery, are you not implying that you have inspected the contents and checked for damage and accepted the delivery?

"Recorded Signed For" is usually left in the porch or under the door mat for us!
 
i put the stylus in buble wrap then into the enelope. ive sold quite a few and the wieght comes up at 66 grams. i posted 3 on the same day. everybody else got theirs. she got an 'empty envelope'
 
Seems very odd that you had no problems with anyone else but repeated problems with this person. Could well be that she is scamming you - although it's only 99p items if she did it with multiple sellers you could make a decent amount of cash.
