Possible Test Drive Unlimited 2 information!

I don't think its unpolished as such its just they didn't expect the uptake it had and they haven't managed to scale the server platform as quickly as they'd have hoped. It takes time to add server hardware in and the relevant connections etc

As much as I'd like to think that, they really should have the experience from TDU1 and the problems that had at launch. OK so it wasn't over as many platforms at once (was only on 360 originally I think?), but still they should have realised there would be a significant server load.

Gotta do the 72 mile Ibiza race now, car I currently have is the 370Z, any more fun A6's? So with the S5 was eligible, I'd drive that for eons..!

I did it last night in the Impreza, most enjoyable. Took just over 40 mins IIRC, so the AI times were a complete non-issue :)

I did it in the Nissan last night, just over 40 minutes, was fun considering. The AI times are a bit silly too, think I was something like 30 seconds ahead at the first checkpoint.

Just been reading the TDU2 forums and I'm amazed as to how many idiots are on there. I hope it doesn't reflect the attitude of the people ingame.

Oh there are plenty of idiots. I was sitting patiently at a viewpoint waiting for the right time to take a photo and some arse comes straight up at full speed, rams me off the cliff into the water. So then my car gets put back on the road and I have to drive back to the right spot. Was there any need for it?

LOL - would annoy me lots. But is still funny lol :p

Latest update from GMDestra:

QA is currently in the process of rigorous testing on the next Xbox 360 patch. The current ETA is that these patches will see another three days of extensive internal review before they are sent to Microsoft for approval.

The goal of this patch is as follows:

* Improve login process to allow a higher volume of successful connections
* Increase online stability across all multiplayer functionality
* Address issues related to file corruption
* Enable Club and MyTDULife functionality
* Enable Co-Op races
* Enable weather while offline
* Address an issue where players can get a Lancia which has no car data (the patch should prevent this from occurring in the future, and restore players who are currently affected by the issue)

Ffs. This Destra guy changes his mind all the time. First it was a day, then 48 hours and now three days?

I bet you that once the patch is released, there will be something else that goes wrong and we'll be right back at the start. Disaster.
