and what use is a crossfire motherboard with a nvidia gpu.
what so to have sli you need an intel cpu and mobo, not always true.
No, the question is, what use is a Nvidia gpu with a crossfire(MULTI GPU) motherboard? might as well save money and buy a single 16X pci-e slot motherboard.
OR DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND THIS?![]()
MAYBE I THOUGH I COULD USE TWO NVIDIA CARDS ON A 2 PCI AMD MOBO!
Is that such a crime?
hehehe or.........Yes, because your posting in peoples threads giving advice, AND YOU KNOW ZERO ABOUT PC GEAR!!!!
hehehe or.........
you could be a naughty boy and used hacked drivers to get sli to work on a crossfire mobo..........![]()
And the 4X speed of the second slot will still suck, and its not really something for a novice to do.
btw. the card that you linked to is the SE version, which is not recommended over the standard 460.
It is a standard edition, that what SE stands for, its a reference heatsink.
to the OP, get the cheapest GTX460 768MB you can find, the 1GB isnt worth it for this budget, the money saved can be used to get a cpu upgrade.
oh, i thought it was a different card, thought about getting one for my build and was warned about getting the SE version?
There is only £10 difference between the cheapest 768mb and 1gb. Would you not say that it was worth it?
