Fallout New Vegas worth picking up?

Didn't like it as much as the original Fallout 3, graphical glitches are annoying, enemies getting stuck in hills, my arms and gun constantly flicking up the screen, has crashed on me a few times as well (360)

Hunting rifle still rocks though ;)

Do some side quests? :)

When I'm bored I just go onto Fallout Wiki and have a look at all the side quests and unmarked quests and just go through the ones that sound interesting, or the ones that have good rewards.

Same here I found great stash at the end of one the vault mission, I also look for gun merchants to mod guns always fun.

The glitches annoyed me no end, but that was at release. Finished it 3 times whilst unpatched, having crashes and glitches throughout, so that should give some indication of how good the actual game is.

I dont think i ever hit a glitch. I save a lot so maybe thats it. The main quest seems over quickly but if you save at the right time before you burn out your bridges with rival clans then you can complete the game with each path. Ive left NCR last for some reason.

Top game. The only thing that bugged me was that I bought it on release day and it was half price a week later!

It's a fantastic game, and you get so much content for your buck. There are a load of improvements over Fallout 3 such as a tweaked conversation system that makes persuasion less of a guessing game, weapon mods, richer characters (IMO), better faction system, gambling, more humour, and loads more.

Also there are some great mods out for it if you go for the PC version (the best version).

There are a few glitches, but it seems a lot of them have been patched, and I've had no trouble playing for over 60 hours.

You will, however, get sick of the radio. If I hear "Johnnie Guitar" one more time I will shove that Guitar up his Enclave! "Big Iron on his Hip" is still cool no matter how many times you hear it though.

Seriously, Conelrad Radio mod is awesome, loads more songs, all with an atomic theme, and some really funny extracts from real 50's radio!!

Sorry for the bump! (Not really)

Any one had a weird experience on Honest Hearts expansion? I got to Zion my crew were quickly killed off from there it told me to get a map. I got said map and it completed and said I could go back to the main game. I got one achievement, couldn't fine one npc that wasn't hostile and no quests other than the map hunt. All this took about 45 minutes. The ending cinematic made it look like I had made loads of choices though.

You can pick up the ultimate edition really cheap now this includes all dlc. i have spent hundreds of hours on the game and every play through i find something new and interesting

well worth it for the price you will be able to get it for now look at the goty edition will be best xx amount of gameplay if you do all the side missions i started with the fallout 3 goty edition and it was amazing well worth it a bit buggy still but consider the size of the games and the amount of hours you can put in dont hesitate.

IMO and As I only played it for a few hours I didnt think it was that great a game, and I loved fallout 3, completed all the DLC and all the side quests I could find.

The thing that I didnt like was if you had to heal yourself i.e. drink a few nuka cola's or stimpacks, that it healed over time rather than instantly, so I have died quite a few times, and that ****ed me off quite a bit.

Im sure it could have been quite a good game if not for that point.

Getting pretty cheap now, what do you guys reckon? Never gave Fallout 3 a fair crack but I do like the look of New Vegas. So many good games out at the mo but this one keeps catching my eye.

I would get it, it's a great game, think it was quite buggy at first but later patches have improved it.

Not sure why you have waited so long!
